Nice video, I have a Question.... is't possible that a gene can pass memory from past generations, this is something that it is in my mind all the time... wish someone anzwer
Recent studies show that positive emotion/thought such as love, joy, greatfulness and etc. effects human DNA by making the strands longer and more perceptive (meaning uncoding the hidden talents such as ESP, precognition, clairvoyance and others), when negative emotion such as fear, anger, despair and etc. makes DNA shrink, therefore limiting human perception a great deal. One has to establish an ongoing positive thought in order for these change to occur.
The human genome project was an exercise in preparation for a patent defining humanity.
Although many good things can come from a better understanding of such things, the opposite is also true. Consider the tight regulation on the use of seeds in the US. It's virtually illegal to grow your own food. The international tax system on human use of carbon.
This all amounts to the assertion of 'ownership' of the natural world, by codex alimentarius.
Genetic Inheritance is the result of different combinations of pre-existing genetic information. Except in the case of deformed genes (mutations) which results in inherited diseases and deformations. Any one that says that is where all the different families of plants and animals originated from, has been duped.
What about transposons or Gene duplication, the fact that our genomes are ever changing is a fact, sometimes our genomes gain sequences, sometimes they lose, and always are modifying them.
Transposons are strings of genetic information, that are repositioned in single cells. Not genetically engineered novel threads of information. Novel strings of genetic information do not appear out of no where. Intelligible information is transferable, it never generates out of thin air.
dear @Howie47, recombination plus mutation and the law of LARGE numbers is what brings about novel "genes". Take the fact that the human genome is almost a complete subset of mouse genome. If you rearrange the mouse genome you get the human. It is near consensus among molecular biologist that ALL known life forms share a common ancestor, I've seen no evidence to suggest otherwise.
" law of LARGE numbers"? I suppose your talking about numbers that exceed all the particles in the known Universe! Or with enough chances any thing is possible. The scientific tide is turning against Neo-Darwinism. New books on this subject. "What Darwin Got Wrong", "Why Pigs Don't Have Wings", "In the Beginning". etc. etc. etc.: Since scientist have no explanation how life could arise and evo to the present. Their BELIEF in common ancestry is purely philosophical in nature.
Or maybe you should read, "Probability's Nature and Nature's Probability: A Call to Scientific Integrity" "It was science, and not religion, that caused his disbelief in the explanatory powers of undirected nature." by Dr. Donald E. Johson
Cool! The video and education kit was distributed to thousands of schools nationwide. I hope it helped you understand the genome a bit more. I found one website that has a frame grab from the animation posted and its caption reads "actual photo of human cell"... you can't get a better complement than that. Thanks again.
Pursuit of the knowledge of science with the understanding of evolution make the concept of ID irrelevant. Stuff like ID and creationism is just giving up and saying you don't understand and don't intend to try to.
the designer is the environment, we are a complex series of chemical reactions that take place inside a water medium that responds to stimuli it receives from the environment, and adapts accordingly
Who says? When did they say? Why did they say? All science? Some science?
Too many questions to that percentage.
Science works in paradigms and falsification - hypothesises are speculation based on reason, theories are factually based speculations that create rules and predictions - more hypothesises.
Why do each of us carry the broken gene that allows most animals to synthesise Vitamin C? The gene, with just a single bit mutated in an ancestor of ours, is there, but it doesn't work any more; what is intelligent about that design?
So smart, yet so slow?! The ID, (intelligent design), that the biosphere is. Is corrupted. Mutated, broken, are ambiguously used. Modified, efficiently used, are more precise,
no evolution just happens to adapt to an environment. Certain traits are being naturally selected for a better survival. Mutation though happens arbitrarily on approx. every 100k base pair in the human genome. Humans have no direction to greatness. It's all a matter of the environment on which mutation depends or even evolution

How can this knowledge be used to cure dementia which is going to be pandemic in 2016? When will we cure diabetes...another pandemic.

duped? Only Pre-existing genetic information?

What's the difference between these two opinions?
One is speculation
The other is science.

50% of science is speculation.

SirMildredPierce 4 years ago 7
What Evo's, fail to remember, is that the ID
has been corrupted. Like a (cancer); that corrupts the whole earth biosphere. It is all being regenerated. The evil will be removed.
Howie47 3 years ago
Say what?
SirMildredPierce 3 years ago 2
So smart, yet so slow?! The ID, (intelligent design), that the biosphere is. Is corrupted. Mutated, broken, are ambiguously used. Modified, efficiently used, are more precise,
ID terms.

Much like your use of the english language. Okay, now I get it.

I'd rather know the truth, then have a well composed, correctly spelled lie. But to each his or her own.

But if you are unable to transmit that truth other people?

mutation happens arbitrarily
Quentinsama 3 years ago
arbitrary mutation equates too a downward trend in life's complexity. Never too more
complexity. Life is degrading, as stipulated by the second law of thermo dynamics. It is not over coming the laws of the Universe.
Which demand perfection to exist!
Howie47 3 years ago
Arbitrary mutation does not equate too upward, more complex life. Just the opposite.
