  • Do an asian accent

  • This video explains the basic concepts of learning accents. There's an iPhone app called Accentuate! that can help you do those things. This is the website for it: accentu8.me

Disclaimer: I'm the creator of the app (but it does work ;) )

  • She is british, just to let ya all know!

  • For me the British accent is very difficult

  • This is all so facinating, but how do we learn it

  • 3:40

  • She talks in English/british a lot. . .i'm starting to think that's her real accent xD

  • lol first 5 secs in the video, she was a 6 than after 10 secs she became a 10, than went back to 6 than went back to 10 lol...than on and off

  • Whats the purpose of this ?? rofl

  • I swear her accent kept changing??

  • My surname is Walker, FREAKY!!!

  • At first I thought she was American, but then she sounded British, and then American again. WHAT?

  • @LoveEmBitches she's American.

  • Sorry I was to interested in you beautiful eyes.

  • Huh, I never thought accents were very difficult in the first place. I live in the US and I've never traveled to any other country, although I can pull off multiple accents very easily. British, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Hindi, Jamaican, and French are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head. This explanation and all of these "categories" are just confusing me, lol.

  • thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you!!!!!

  • Will you marry me? hahaha you have gotta be the coolest female to ever exist

  • her original accent is the very first one she speaks with.

  • While you learn the accents, you might want to learn the languages:

I am creating a book that teaches several different languages

    all at the same time.

Activity (English) = Activité (Français) = Attività (Italiano)

= Actividad (Español) = Atividade (Português)

My books are available at my free website:

  • If you really are from Seattle, then I must applaud you, fellow Washingtonian. Your skills are admirable.

  • can you try the buffalo ny accent

  • what the hell is her real accent...

  • @ikaikasteffens12 As she has said in an interview, she has no "real" accent, but if you mean the one she spoke first, during childhood, that would be a Northwestern US accent.

  • @ikaikasteffens12 its pretty easy to tell, based on the small things she does with her hands, head and neck while talking you can tell she shows predominantly american mannerisms. Those give her away :)

  • @ikaikasteffens12 She's english obviously

  • @robertmihoc English? or British? lol

  • @robertmihoc um no... she's from Seattle

  • You are the most interesting female to listen to

  • HOLY SHIT watch?v=DUx2T7gWCCA !!!! Is she her sister? :DDDD

  • She sounds just like Hermione at the beginning.

  • wow this is so cool, youre awesome :)

  • Thank You.

  • For some reason I find her doing multiple accents attractive. Idk...

  • @daveytrooper Sign of intelligence :) it is attractive :D

  • Her American accent is very good... or maybe its her actual accent

English is VERY good, I've been to many places in this world and I'm in New Zealand at the moment and it is one of the HARDEST accents to impersonate yet New Zealander's can't impersonate mine (english) and I find that very interesting. After living here for so long (11 years) I've got hold of it and can now impersonate it, Robin Williams does a good New Zealand accent impersonation, take a look at him.

  • Her Southern accent is a little forced...almost the generic accent

  • not a bad aussie accent - though quite broad! :D

  • 3:30

    lol

  • hehe like romantic nights

  • this helped me and it is 100%

  • She seems like one of those people who just enjoys the sound of her own voice...

If she wasnt doing this for youtube she'd prob be doing it in front of the mirror.

  • she cracked at herself @5:40 HAHAHHA this is hilarious :P

  • OMG I thought i was high cuz she of her accents!!!

  • that's amazing .. thanks for the information

  • dadada dadadadadada dadaddaadadaaaaaa

  • her english accent sounds like kate winslet

  • dadada dadada dadada

  • Henry Higgins.

  • I love her in every accent.

  • Oh my god!!!!! That is awesome!!!! Very brilliant, you are!

  • What the accents piss me off, every one should learn the American way. It's the best, these are facts.

  • Was 3:34 a Russian melodic pattern?

  • @littleshawtygirl16 ya Austin mahone sent me here!! :)

  • I went back at 2:50 after she said she substituted 'th' with 'f' :L

  • Peene. Like that? O.O

  • THUMBS UP IF,AUSTIN MAHONE SEND U HERE! =D

  • did your accent change in the video while talking?

  • Thank you Amy!!!!!! This video is extremely helpful! You are awesome!

  • I love you! I'm a Belgian student and I study languages; this is the best tool I could ever dream of.

  • I would like to see her speak in "Microsoft Sam" accent! that the true test of skill.

  • She kind of looks like dianna Agron sometimes...

  • If I had the skill she had, I would speak in a different accent every day.

  • Can She Speak Ebonics!?!?! :O

  • Her English accent is 100% perfect!

  • @menglinhai No. You obviously are not from England mate

  • @lordtufty Err... I actually am. I'm from Devon.

  • @menglinhai Well that explains it. Too inbred to speak proper English

  • @lordtufty Yeah, good one. I'm studying languages and linguistics at Cambridge, so I think I'm probably qualified to make a judgement on somebody's accent.

  • @menglinhai Well seeing as Oxford is the only place that really matters (I'm not only saying that because I study there...), studying at Cambridge doesn't change the fact that you are too inbred to detect a good English accent.

  • @lordtufty You're not at Oxford... What is a tute, or a scout? What course are you doing? At what college?

Anyway, have you heard of ad hominem? Just because you don't think she has a convincing English accent isn't a reason to start childishly insulting me, just because you happen to disagree. If you went to Oxford (or, indeed, any self-respecting educational establishment), you wouldn't think like that.

  • @menglinhai I am studying at Oxford actually... at school. But that education is better than the one you get at Cambridge University. (If you do not understand that I am just winding you up you are more stupid than I thought)

  • @lordtufty an "English accent" is any accent from anywhere English is spoken as a first language, you self-righteous twat.

  • @filmbrewer No. I'd say that it is a natural accent of people who were brought up in England

  • @lordtufty that's called a British accent.

  • @filmbrewer No. A British accent could be Scottish, Northern Irish, Welsh, as well as English. An English accent is one which people who have been brought up in England have. It is exclusively from England.

  • she is a psycho

  • I wasn't here for the accent...just thought she is very beautiful :)

  • She scares me!

  • HOW DOES THIS HELP US????????????

  • This is a little video to empower your eyebrows

  • her aussie accent is pretty much perfect.

I need to learn to do an English one!

  • how come this series wont cost me $1.99 like your new series.

  • She is Scary and Funny the same time, WHAHAHA :P

  • she has that presence that just makes me wanna jump through the screen and hold her face and kiss her. :S

  • When your able to speak fluently in sooo many different accents, they do tend to blend without you knowing it, I have had that problem considering i can do atleast 10 different ones and also cartoon characters also.

  • awesome aussie accent :)

  • used the world "empower" you're such a lesbo

  • it's funny when she does her "da da da da da's", you more than likely know EXACTLY what language it is lol

  • This is brilliant. She is able to constantly change her accent, most probably as a demonstration while delivering information...

I have lost my ability to speak multiple accents. I must learn.

  • i love watching her

  • This is incredible, she has quite a few accents and it sounds natural to me. The melody seemed silly at first, but when I actually listened I could hear plenty of different phrases that matched the melody you did. I want to learn the more stereotypical (rural as well) Canadian accent for humour purposes, but I'd also like to learn more than just that. It seems like something incredibly fun and interesting to be able to switch between accents.

Well done with the video, and I hope it helps me.

  • Could you do a martian accent?

  • she says fascinated too much.

  • STUPID

  • I could spend a whole day listening to her. She's fascinating.

  • Your fascination makes me fascinated :)

  • I'm so suscribing to this. You're awesome, Ms Amy Walker. I think you are a great person too.

  • Amy is of course from Washington, sorry to spoil it trolool

  • omg this is how i pictured hester prynne when i was reading scarlet letter

  • You're just talking to talk most of the time. You can tell you have an extreme fascination with YOURSELF......

  • this annoying advertisments! press f 13 to get rid of them...
