  • he's using his arms to much. If he puts some real weight on it, he wouldn't be able to do that. The traps should me much stronger then biceps. If you can bend your arms like that, it's too light for your traps. I way in at 83kg and do shrugs with 220-240kg. Ain't no way I would do that bending my arms! It's not a bicep training.

  • @kobudoken thats why half the videos on youtube are wrong lol i weigh 62 kg and love doing shrugs with 285kg. lol i couldn't bend my arms if i tried and why would you want to do traps behind you??? theres no point

  • the one that joe tong shows is the combination shrug and upright roe ... it will likely target traps and rear delt

  • I do this with wraps. I also lean forward and place a board or weights under my heals. So I am in a forward leaning position.

  • Someone showed me shrugs behing the back at my gym about a month ago. I love doing it, you can really feel it working the traps. Awesome exercise
