  • wicket - gate , that's what they call it in the book

  • At 1:00 it sounds like he's saying "wicked gate"...but what is he really saying?

  • @lambofGD

He is saying Wicket Gate. I think he measn the narrow Gate (wicket gate is a small gate or door, particularly one built into a larger one). God bless you all.

  • Praise The Lord!

He loves even sinners like me.

  • I've always LOVED the part from 4:13!!! I've always cried at that part!

It shows what true Christianity is talking about.

    ;_;

  • Despite personal beliefs and historical tragedies, the true message of Christianity remains as admirable today as in the past. Redemption from our failures and salvation from our transgressions.

    Beautiful Message for Humanity.

  • Amen Sir Prussian.

    God love you.

  • i believe. god is love.

  • i love all the music in this movie...or most of it atleast....

  • This is how Christianity is,

Sin can only be cured through Christ.

  • I just found Christ someone pray for me.

  • Christ found you, little sheep. Rejoice in Him, the ultimate good news of the gospel. Thankfully, He seeks ans saves the lost.

  • @mjdcdd Bit insulting to liken someone to a sheep.

  • when was this made?

  • My VHS tape states that this animated version of Pilgrim's Progress was made in 1989.

  • what about the baptism?

Baptism is very necessary and important; cuz its for the remission of sins: without baptism, your sins are not wash away. People reject baptism because they think only believing and praying will save you

  • I do not reject baptism. It is a clear, Biblical command. But understand, salvation is by faith alone; Scripture makes that clear.

Consider Abraham. He was not baptized, yet his faith was reckoned to him as righteousness. Peace.

  • you clearly have no clue about salvation. baptism is necesarry, but not indispensable. it is to be done, but only if posible. a man on his deathbed cannot be baptised, but he can still accept Jesus as his haviour and enter heaven. the thief on the cross wasn't baptised, and neither were the old testament saints.

  • yes only if its possible, when you have the opportunity to do that. so here in this case, he is urge to be baptize!

  • Doesn't 1 Peter 3:21 say: "and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ" meaning physical baptism is not the actual substance of the act? I'm not even a Christian and I know your book better than you do. Was the thief on the cross not unbaptized? How does H20 make anyone holy? You people are even confused by your own book.

  • Indeed salvation is by faith, but do you understand what faith is?

Through faith you become obedient to the point of getting baptist.

Jesus himself command those who belief to baptist for the remission of sins.

    Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4; Acts 22:16 Acts 22:16 (NKJV)

16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

  • Ahhh, indeed, briefly submerging yourself in water, one time, is truly a test of genuine faith.

  • what is your point here?

  • Water saves you from hell?

  • The power is not the water, but from God.

Getting baptist means that you become obedient to God.

See example the story of Naanman, whom prophet Elisha commanded to dip himself seven times in the jordan.

The power was not from the water but from God.

God wanted to see if he would obey Him and do that.

  • It is not about the water. It is about submission to something that is not easy to do. Throughout history batisms were persecuted and many who were acused of doing it were killed. Even today it is seen as a foolish ritual inherited by mystics.

  • Ephesians 4:5 says one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism

    faith comes before baptism

Colossians 2:12Having been buried with him in baptism, you also have been raised with him through your faith in the power of God who raised him from the dead.

The water itself does not save you, your faith saves you. Getting baptised without faith is just getting wet.

    Mathew 3:13-17

Jesus is baptised to fulfill all righteousness

And seeing as the Bible is the most reliable source of information of antiquity.

  • And even our faith is gift from God. Ephesians 2:8-10

  • @mjdcdd

    Amen.

  • I see from your name you may be Jewish, I'm assuming that anyhow. It's a ritual cleansing from the mikvah, we are buried in baptism & raised in newness of life. John baptized with water but Yeshua the Messiah, the cornerstone that the builders rejected, baptizes us with fire & newness of life. We are buried carnal & raised spiritual. These are spiritual matters. not works matters, so they are spiritually discerned. Sheep are easily confused but they have a Shepherd & they hear his voice.

  • I pray God gives you spiritual understanding...God Bless you love!

  • thanks!

  • anyone know the song that is played during the cross scene?

  • The intro to the video indicates that it is "Holy Lamb" by Rick Crowell

  • LOL! Timorous and Mistrust were very funny.
