If only there was a DJ app on iPad which gives you 100% real scratching, supports multi touch and allows you to buy an external interface which contains 3 stereo outputs (2 for mixer or 1 optional for master out) and a headphone output. DJ app complete.

I have this app and LOVE IT!!!! Did a small set in Stockholm last night ans used it for the first time. You use your iphone and headphones to be able to listen to the other deck while mixing. Quite easy and fun (although I dont really use the loop function so much,its kinda choppy.

I'm not sure why the latency is so high either, surely its down to the application and not the hardware? With the price an ipad costs I'd feel ripped off it it was that slow.

Love that Bassnectar track. Anyway, I think this would work in a pinch. Still, it would be better to build a mixer that you could plug a hard disk and two iPads into. You need a real mixer to mix, man. It would still be cheaper than a couple of CDj decks and a nice mixer. In a pinch, you could even use a single iPad. Better yet, make it wireless so the DJ can get off the stage and into the crowd!
