Handbrake locks rear wheels and yes mini is fwd so you can lock the rear wheels and accelerate with front just rapid use of handbrake makes that possible.

The car is an autotest "special" and was made specifically to do this kind of thing.

90% of that Minis back end will be no more than fibreglass and 2 chassis rails to hold the back wheels. You could pick it up with 1 hand!

I've also heard of cars having independant front brakes in the past. With the rear so light, 1 wheel drive is enough to open the diff and make the car pirouette on the locked wheel. 8-)

Aren't the Disney stunt show cars built like this as well?
