Slip? Possibly, but given the major blunder he made today, this man is rapidly losing the entitlement to "benefit of the doubt". He has said that Iran was training Al Qeada, didn't know that the Iranian President DOES NOT control the military (The Supreme Leader does), etc.

I think it is quite clear it was a slip, being as how they were talking about afghanistan.
