  • If only this was a Palin rally. Then they would be quiet...

  • what an ungrateful audience.

  • It was odd at first to me for his song choice here, and the fact he would play at anything politically affiliated at all. But then it occurred to me that Conor is no dumb man. What better a way to show exactly your views on everything than with a song so powerful as this, and at such a politically oriented event? "If you're still free start running away, 'cause we're coming for you." It's obvious Conor isn't here to help get Obama, or anyone else for that matter into office.

  • We were all fooled, weren't we Conor? To think that only two short years ago, we were convinced we were finally winning the fight against militarism and the corporate agenda. One of ours was going to be in office and things would be different. Despite what it all meant in the end, I'll miss 2008 for the rest of my life.

  • why does it really matter who he supports. i would rather listen to someone who stands up for who/what he believes rather than some puppet who will say whatever the people want to hear

  • What!!!! SILENCE PATHETIC CROWD!!!!!! CONOR IS SINGING ANDYOU TALK... UNACCEPTABLE!!! WOULD HAVE KILLED TO B THERE (maybe)!!!!!!!

AHHHH CONOR OBERST YOU AND NPH ARE MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • NOOOOOO Conor, WHYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • because he's smarter tha you

  • OMG, of course, I get the major brain washed person to reply. I just don't beliveve Conor would do this because you can tell by Casadaga he knows all about the New World Order and the Illuminati and how we are in that transition phase, known as a Democracy, into an Oligarchy. So I still have to ask the question, why?

  • @LoveofthePhantom wait...are you honestly surprised that Conor supports Obama...really?! =P

  • Wow Conor way to sell out.

I don't like Obama or McCain, I side with neither.

But the fact that he uses his amazing music to attract people to his party..... That's disgusting.

  • that was so excellent.

I really don't respect any musician more than i do Conor, and this just added to his already insane amount of amazing points.

  • this made me lose a little respect for conor.

  • maybe just cuz you've

been listening to him on cds,

    but this is AMAZINGLY AWESOME

for them to be playing live!

    no respect...

    >:(

  • yeah i've been listening to him on all of his albums. with that said, i don't have to entirely support him on every single thing. i lost some respect for him due to political views. BUT, i have respect for him as a talented singer/songwriter and musician.

  • Wow.

    That's great.

I didn't know that Conor supported Obama.

I mean, I kind of figured but..

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD.

YOUVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME.

IVE GOT CHILL BUMPS ALL OVER MY BODY.

    OBAMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hellllll yesssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i was at this rally, it was amazing

  • oh my god.

    you are so fucking luckyyy...

  • hey this means that obama likes bright eyes.RIGHT?..thats all i fucking need to know!vote for this man , NOW

  • conor makes me want obama to be president even more. shit, conor should take his place.

  • of course he changed it from 22 to 28 it's be 6 yrs since the damn song was written.

and he turned 28 on Feb. 15th of this year.

    DUH

  • Nice subtle thing I liked about it - he changed the "22 yrs" part from the orig song to 28yrs

  • he also changed walking to driving,

    in the line afterwards

    [:

  • haha, nice catch... gotta love conor huh?

  • i cant believe all these people are just ignoring the performance. i understand that its not a concert, but isnt an obama rally supposed to BE like a rock show?!? Id be going crazy at this thing. But I'm also a huge Bright Eyes fan so yeah.

  • You all are crazy! Obama is the best guy for president, and Conor just re-proved how intelligent he is by picking the best guy to support!

  • haha.. this feels like an awkward performance. you can kind of hear an awkwardness in Conor's voice, too.

i support Obama, mainly because i think he's better than anyone else running... but, i'm hoping that maybe the radical nature of his election could help to ease America somehow. and he will necessarily have to choose a stellar cabinet to aide him. and really, what admin could be worse than the last 8 years?

and he's supported by great musicians... so yeah.. ;)

  • Yeah, it does feel kinda awkward. I'm not suprised though really, the people talkin over him is pissin me off enough. It must be really annoying trying to play over it.

  • i agree

  • yea i can agree with that. the thing that makes it look worse then it is, is theres way too many people/kids that just don't know or understand the facts. just repeating what they heard and probably not even getting it right when they do that. it's like a virus. it just gets out of control.

  • Also agree.

  • Wow. I didn't think ppl like you were real! I guess you "don't see" bc you aren't looking. Did you hear what economists are syaing about us right now? Yesterday. Prob gonna be WORSE than the Depression. Hmmm....

  • Check the date on that por favor? I'm sorry but I can't predict the future. And uh, hello, you can't blame Bush for all that because he's not in control of the market.

  • (it's called lassiez faire..."free market" for those who didn't pay attention in history class) and in case you haven't been watching the news at least he's trying to bail us out (despite it being against his political beliefs) by spending 7+ billion dollars. So, he's not leaving us here to flounder around for ourselves (like they had to during the Depression). The president of THAT time didn't believe in the government getting involved...but anyways.

  • yeh. and then they got roosevelt, right? and he believed in change. and then it (gradually, perhaps even debatably) got better. and even if this wasnt just due to rroosevelt, his belief in doing SOMETHING helped a hell of a lot. this could be one case where history repeating itself would be good. correct me if im wrong sumwhere.

  • Hold your horses and don't get your panties in a twist. In a couple months you'll have a nice new president to complain about.

  • isn't ron paul a republican though?

  • dont really get why he would play at something like this...can anyone fill me in
