After reading a few posts & visiting the Fisker website, things are starting to add up. Just like when DeLorean wanted to build his car & keep the costs down, it was made in N. Ireland. It's making perfect sense now that when Obama had a bail-out package for GM, Along with giving all our Hummer technology to the Chinese, he also made GM stop making Pontiacs & Saturns. That conveniently freed up GMs Assy plant @ Wilmington, in Joe Biden's home state, to produce the Fisker. Follow the MONEY !
I'd buy this over the Porsche panamera or the Aston Martin rapide any day. It isn't as powerful, but it's cooler in it's own way. A beautiful work of art.

What mileage do you get if you only run it on gasoline? I'm guessing horrible mileage with a heavy glass roof and huge batteries. It probably weighs as much as an SUV.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
How about if you share the facts if you know them. Do you think the glass roof and batteries are filled with helium? No need to "check facts", it's basic physics!
My suggestion is, if you're thinking about buying one for the environment, YOU might want to check the facts first.
How the hell do you think you are huh? It's MY decision if I wanna buy this car or not. First I thought you were a good person, now I realized you're of those dirtbags who are just too fuckin jealous about people trying something different when it comes to transportation. And hey am I not allowed to try and find a different approach on how to cut my oil-addiction? I'm a bioenergyengineer so you should try to fuckin behave even though this is youtube

I wasn't trying to be mean, just making a point. Why would I be jealous of you trying something different? What is there to be jealous of? "Oil-addiction" is so cliche, though. If people are going to improperly use the word "addiction", I wish they would call it "energy addiction." All forms of energy come at a cost. Go ahead and buy the car. It will be great for the economy and a nice niche vehicle.
oh wow....im i seriously going to get into it with you on a fucking website? why would i apologize? you said "glass roof" no where in that sentence you said "solar".
dont get all defensive just because i called you out on it.
I said "glass roof" when I was talking about the weight of the vehicle. Everyone already knows its a solar roof. Does everything have to be spoon fed to you?
Wow, you seriously got into it with me on a fucking website, didn't you! You joined the ranks of dummies who decided to chime in without thinking first and I called you on it. Sorry. If you don't like it, maybe you'll think first next time.
no dude how about you make shit clear and not be lazy and just say exactly what you mean. because when you say glass roof people with thing glass roof. when you say solar roof, they will think solar roof.
and i did not get into with you. your obviously sensitive douche who cant get his shit right.
the car hasn't even came out yet, you know jack shit out the company, and your talking about it as if your the fisker karma expert. where do you get off?
Lex, you must be the lazy one if you missed the context of my statement about the glass roof. People are dumb enough to think that the solar roof provides free energy to the car in lieu of burning gas/oil. In reality, the solar cells are embedded in a nice, thick and heavy glass roof. The power from the solar cells will be about enough to run the fan, which would run on electricity anyway. The mass of the roof will increase the amount of gas required to propel the car forward.
So how about if you do your homework before you try to make it look like I don't know what I'm talking about and end up making yourself look stupid. For all you know, I very well MAY BE the Fisker Karma expert. Have fun finding something wrong with any of my statements.
i have done my homework, and i know the ideas that Henrick Fisker has is revolutionary. i should know; i just finished up a resume to the company as a industrial design.
and you thinking your an expert on a vehicle that has just been introduced to the public for not even a full year yet; not alone hit the roads is atrocious.

I'm gonna buy a Tesla Roadster, Tesla Model S and a Fisker Karma to use when I need to go hiking in Alaska (I live in Miami)
Nichen 2 years ago
how are these cars going to help you in Alaska?
VenisonFajitas 2 years ago
They will give me a very good mileage.
Nichen 2 years ago
If you're going hiking, where are you going to plug it in?
VenisonFajitas 2 years ago
Well obviously I can't plug it in Alaska, yet...that's why it's good it's a plug in hybrid car so I still can use petrol for that particular trip

Naaah I wouldn't say that. I think you better check the facts about the Fisker car before you say anything about their milage.
