ahhh those engines were a pain cause they caused a lot of drag, even with cowlings they made later on.

Actually Ford used the steering wheel from the Model T for the yoke on the trimotor.

@ the tri motor used its own control wheels in the cockpit thery wernt from a model T either, that would be too early,
the wheels were wood with three spoke design,
theydidnt have too much drag,
that was the way it was back then, and alot of people dont realize that,

i rode one - the pilot said the door handles are the exact same part as on a model T or A car i -cant remember which- the aisle is so narrow i had to sidle sideways
