  • Ugh how embarrassing. I'm an educated person from Norfolk and I sound normal D; I hate everyone with a Norfolk accent tho

  • @Exagerative You should be proud to have a Norfolk accent, I am. You make it sound as if anyone with an accent is stupid!

  • @Exagerative What has your level of education got to do with your accent, I don't see how they're related?

  • @Exagerative well people who are proud of being from norfolk probably hate you too,you obnoxious little prick, you may be educated but you're certainly not very bright, clever pleasant or probably even popular.muppet

  • @Mr78chalky I am all of those. :) you won't know how that feels, you probably struggle to communicate with others or find people who can comprehend your linguistics.

  • He says coke like me :D

  • "I do a handbrake turn, drive up to where that lawnmower is, wait until my heart stops beatin' from so hard with the sheer joy and exhilaration of findin' summin' that's free... Even if it's shit and I put it in the back o' my car".

  • Is 1:14 in Cromor? I went there a few weeks ago, and that looks a hell of a lot like one of the beaches.

Hooray! I think my family and I walked down past those beach huts, that's why I remember that particular bit of beach! I loved Cromor, I'm hoping to go there again! :)

  • @annie10103 It is a nice beach, me and friends drive there quite often and go for a swim =D then off to the chippy. Hope you do visit there again soon, its a nice place for the fam & friends. =).

  • @DaRkGhOsTGaReTh

I couldn't go swimming in the sea!! I forgot my swimming suit, luckily I had some shorts, so I went into the sea in those. :D

I was a bit weird though when I was walking back along the streets to the flat we hired. I was completely soaked. I saw people giving me funny looks. :)

Anyway, yeah I love Cromor. It's the only place I like more than London! <3

  • @annie10103 Aww cool, =). sounds like you had a bit of fun then :P. ha, =)=)

  • I'm from Portsmouth but moved up to Norwich :)

  • I'm from Norfolk, but I don't talk like that at all & I only know people who are older that speak like this..

  • My grizzly bear is drunk on bear. cracks me up :D

  • Like 5% speak like this speak in norwich, prob even less! Just steriotypical bollocks as usual! embaressing cunts

  • @20129010927831 norwich is a different accent to norfolk, I'm up on the coast (thats coost hehe) and the accent is pretty strong in parts.

  • They say Coke like we do here in Oregon.

  • oh dare

  • stop fucking moaning im from norwich and so many people talk like this. you dont notice it till you hear it on the radio or telly box. this video made me piss myself its well funny fact

  • The Norfolk accent is similar to the accents of the New World in many respects.

  • @MusicalEutopia Very true. Historians believe that people in the the rural parts of 18th century america spoke like this.

  • @MusicalEutopia that's because some of the origional people who went over to America were from Norfolk and Suffolk.

  • Im from Suffolk and actually the accents are similar

  • I'm from Norfolk and the majority of people don't speak exactly like that, especially how people get around and mix these days.

The beer/bear and hear/hair problem is widespread though. I'd don't adhere to that language. :-)

  • anyone can give me a link for the video of a norwich city football game chant? it's lyrics goes like this..

    "Your sister is your mother!

    Your father is your brother!

    You all fuck one another!

    The Norfolk family..."

  • This is why people in New England (especially Massachusetts) sound so funny!! Most of the Puritans came from East Anglia.

  • I'm not from Norfolk but I love the accent - it sounds lovely!

  • i wus born over in russia but oi've liwed ere in noorwich for aeight yeer yer see n everyone reckin oi talk proper ole noorfolk now.....thas a rum'on i know buh der we are peepl reckin oi come frum dereham waay or suffin loike tha'!

respect to all ya fellow norfolkers n do ya keep a trooshin!

  • this make me and moi sister larff.i dunno bout wales and cornwell but i reckon theys just as bad as wot she is .

  • Jokes about people from norfolk, wales or cornwall are just cheap fodder. Any stereotype joke about any group is a non-joke. If you knew your history, you would know that norfolk and norwich in particular played a huge role, if not the biggest role in the formation of england. There are many great things about norfolk, Lotus for example. There are huge industries centred in norfolk and the whole inbred thing is just rediculous bollocks. Its like Inbred southerners in the US.

  • It's Elm Hill in Norwich

  • I'm from Norfolk and I love it because it was simple and fun is I will say GO NORFOLK !!! p.s my favourably Norfolk saying ' even thought I can't read or write I can drive a tractor boy '

  • I really like the norfok accent , better than:' speakin' summik like dis in norf london!'

  • i love norfolk!!!! and im from america

  • Can anyone tell me where that picture was taken at 1:05?? Please answer if anyone knows.

  • @charlotte07071 , the picture is of a street called Elm Hill in Norwich, hope that helps.

  • This video is hysterical, I was born in Kings Lynn and I get this all of the time. So true!

  • lmfao!

  • im from norfolk and im proud to be from norfolk :]

  • I'm from Norfolk and I'm so glad I don't have a Norfolk accent. It would be impossible for me to go anywhere without making a fool out of myself.

  • lol they say Coke like Americans do. I love all the English accents. Very interesting to this american.

  • I'm crying with laughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am an American and sort of stumbled upon this video and took a chance and listened to it. I nearly fell over laughing so hard! I had actual tears in my eyes it was so funny. You ought to do strand up comedy! Thanks for a very funny few moments.

  • Like wise, our accent is what makes us who we are. Be proud, it's Naarfuk!!..

  • Well I was born in norfolk and lived here all my life and I have never heard the norfolk accent. I really don't know what the fuss is about.

  • are you alll roight?

  • Ha,ha pretty accurate there, I lived in Norfolk for quite a while, never did really pick up the accent though. I still struggle when speaking with locals. Someone the other day asked me if I'd always lived in Norfolk and I took 'Have you always' for 'Are your hallways' didn't 'ave a clue what 'e was on about for a while! I get the piss taken all the time for having an Estuary accent though. With all my family coming from Reading and me moving about loads as a kid I picked up my Mum's accent lol

  • I'm from Lincolnshire, and our accent is even worse.

  • @Billinghaylad1976 I'm from Lincolnshire. Our accent ain't that hard to understand

  • This is the ancestor of the American, New England accent. They share the same nasal quality and several vowels.

  • i live down the road from cley-next-the-sea windmill

  • No one interesting has been born in Norfolk since 1895.

  • @levanyzzuf bill bryson, stephen fry. Ok, so to be fair, thats all I can think of!

  • @ollypollypoo Mylene Klass, Danny Mills, Edith Cavell...

  • I've grown up in Suffolk (Lowestoft) and it seems the accent is pretty much identical. Then again, I lived in the Suffolk/Norfolk border.

  • that lawnmower thing is just like my grandad

  • Hahaha Norfolk accents ftw! <3

    I love living in Norfolk!

  • nor fuck ahhh thats funny

  • I love the Norfolk accent. A work of mine was always saying "see here" and I thought she showing me her latest cut. It's like the ode Kent accent that's become quite estuary really. Not that I moind yer still 'ere it cree'in in yer do in some paarts of der coun'ty.

  • Lol they do say beer and bear the same. Hem for him and thurr for there. Great script for this video.

  • hahaha loved it!

  • im from norfolk and i dont have this accent

  • The last 30 seconds of this made me laugh so hard :P

  • Wtf the accent must sound completely NORMAL? I'm talking about normal british, like just straight forward english o.O

  • I used to live in a Narrrrrrrfulk village, only 15 mile south of Norwich, from birth to 22 years and most of the people there talk in an accent at least three times more Norfolkian than this this one, the one on the video sounds quite weak to me! My parents were both raised only twenty minutes from Scotland though so I have a really bizzare accent that is half strongly southern country and half extremely Northern :S

  • @AudioPineapple where did u live, im guessing poringland, loddon or bungay.

    or around that area.

  • this is spot on! , totally sounds like my dad :L

  • Why do you have a problem with the letter r

  • hilarious

  • that guy totally sounds like my mum lol

tomatoes, potatoes, ad i don't know bout anyone esle but my mum always said ''baghetti''

  • Haha, I love Norfolk accents! I'm from Norfolk, but my accent definately isn't that strong!

  • wtf u talkin bout 1920's norfolk cause i sure as hell dont talk like like lmao

  • so truee, i sound completly like this pahaa but i love my Norfolk accent, well proud to be from Norfolk xD

  • lol. People from Norfolk, VA, USA would pronounce it "NoFuck" as well.

  • lmao, what the hell. i dont talk like this xD

  • have they got main roads in Norfolk.!. "you'll have to communicate with northern people".. reet daft

  • LOL I travel regularly between Hemsby, Great Yarmouth and London, but my accent slips soooo much in london. I work in a shop, and when I say 'would you like a bag?', it always comes out ' would you loike a baag?'. Its quite amusing for me
