When I heard the song on the Dexter promo I thought it was Joy Division! But I got led here, obviously and I'm glad I found it, it sounds really good. I think everyone should stop comparing Joy Division to them and just enjoy the music.

@theej12354 me as well, can you recommend any that you find especially notable?, i m listening to future islands latest lp now and it is amazing. also i recommend a song by cortex called morning moon, it's from the early 80s but is a real snappy number, cheers from san diego

-crystal stilts

-vivian girls (you probably already know of them.. "moped girls" is awesome)

-best coast, of course

-craft spells "sun trails" (because their other music isn't really shoegaze-y like this)

-the bitters (kinda... only some songs, specially "warrior")

yea i checked out future islands, they're pretty good! and i'm still trying to get into morning moon but it's taking me a while... thanks though! sorry this is so long
