wow. this is so amazing!

you not only made a feaking 6 foot tall dalek. which in itself is really epic.

but you gave it WATER GUNS and built it so people can actually get INSIDE!!!

it looks so brilliant, so strange, so wondrous, so different from anything else! yet there it is just sitting in the yard of a very normal housing area, minding its own business.

@swfandstorm Hi It is mostly made from 3mm Hardboard, the Hemis are Plastic and so are the guns, its all bolted to a steel frame that holds the wheelchair motors and batteries, i have 2 sets of batteries 2 x 55ah 12 volt these are for indoor events, and 2 x 70ah 12 volt for outdoor events, the bigger batteries are to power the Cannons.....

@ThePoo57 Hello, No i wont be making another one, they take too long as there is so much detail on it, the total cost of STORM so far is 18 months work and £3400, there are no molds to make another it was all hand built out of wood so it would take just as long and by todays prices probably cost a lot more...

@Arro3 hello its powered by 2 12volt 70ah batteries driving the custom wheelchair motors controled from inside via joystick the water cannons are powered by the same batteries giving 4.5 gallons per minute flow rate...

Having been involved with the original Dalek, and even the original creator, I bow to you and can honestly say that this is a work of art worthy of being included in a DW series.

It just has the 'lines' of something mean and nasty, yet has the beauty of innocence, if this makes sense?

@zorothehedgehog Hi STORM Took 8 months to build, it took this long because there were no plans for it so all the measurements were calculated from design sketches and a friend helped by making a CGI Model which we were able to get some of the finer detail measurements off,

Ive spen £2000 on STORM But he is all motorised and the water cannons cost a fair bit...you can make a good replica normal dalek for under 400 quid..

most of the dalek is made from hardboard so no special skills are needed

Thanks...Storm was designed for the 1993 movie the dark dimension, but was never made by the bbc... Storm is not meant as a replacement for all the daleks, but just as a back up heavy weapons dalek....
