  • Goddamnit. I wish I had a clue what I was doing early on in my railfan "career". Do you know when the last run up here was? I used to walk the main many times when I was younger. Me and my friends would be at Gompers Park and have nothing better to do lol.

Thanks a TON for sharing. Never seen any other video from this forgotten line.

  • @WC7495 It's a privilege WC.These tracks are just about all torn up. At least some of it will be a bike trail. Imagine how cool it would be to have footage of the line going all the way through Evanston. Keep praying/wishing that someone video-documented this line besides me!

  • Sorry, you're right.

  • Good riddance, I'm glad they got rid of this line. It was SO freakin' annoying!!!

  • And we have more traffic jams, more cars with people not exercising and no recourse should the country start manufacturing or require more rapid transit. It's never good to pull out tracks or railbank them.

  • i live right @ that pulaski crossing just on the other side of the trees

  • i know that place where the tank cars were being switched out at--my friend's business were right there next to the tracks, in Skokie on St Louis Ave.

  • What's the name of the business? Contact me directly with info if he has photos or other information. I work with C&NWHS and a group that archives the history of this branch.

  • Exactly.

  • Looks like the tracks that ran along LaBa woods off of foster and east of cicero

  • @FireFF it's the same tracks but this is (or was) just north of touhy ave
