  • should of used batons would of been more funny

  • Stop being so childish! And stubburn. And stop wasting the police time.

  • So if the police told you to drop your pants and bend over would you??? NO??? well want if it was a law??? ask yourself why you have to give your name and details when you have comitted no crime????

  • Dan the law you speak of is not LAW..It is an Act and statute given the force of LAW through consent. The human being who was arrested shouldnt have entered into joinder by the policy enforcement officer. Remember the constables who arrested him have sworn an oath to uphold the common law Not the acts and statutes of the corrupt politicians. Lear the difference between legal and lawful

  • @crapgame11 Where does it say a cop has sworn an oath to uphold common law? It does not say that anywhere in their oath of office.

  • you dont have to give your name. type in freeman on the land or "its an illusion, john harris" and that will tell you how to do this kind of thing with alot more authority. take the power back!!!!

  • ve vant to see your papers, wonder how many real criminals got away why these cunts were arresting a peacefull man

  • get a job

  • "Stop hurting him"

"I'm asking him to put his hands behind his back"

"Why should he? He wasn't resisting arrest"

    umm...

  • How childish, all he had to do was give them his surname which he is required to do BY LAW and he wouldn't have been arrested. This isn't a police state if it was they would have stomped him to the ground without speaking to him.

Grow up and get some perspective. UK police are amongst the most restrained in the world

  • This has nothing to do with being stripped of our liberities he was arrested for refusing to provide his name, as he is required to do by law. The officers have had this power since 1984 (PACE) it's not a "new" power. If he had just provided his name he would have been issued a summons and could have had his say in court. My point was he was only arrested becuase by refusing to state his name he left the officers no other option (can't issue a summons to someone if you don't know who they are)

  • "...with a little prick"? "pigs"? "filth"? Mate you are clearly too immature for a reasoned argument I'm not going to bother engaging with you I've already mentioned the circumstances when you have to give your name by law

  • @dan101uk

It being the law does not make it morally correct. the law is wrong on many occassions.

  • I agree - the British police are the best in the world. true professionals. This guy is a total plonker.

  • @dan101uk Instead of nicking folks for proetsting you assholes should go out and nick druggies, thiefs, muggers etc, and whilst your at it Tony Blair for war crimes. Just remember assholes like you WORK for the public and the PUBLIC pay your wages.

  • @paul1967uk Oh that sright Paul, YOU pay their wages. Do you know how daft that sounds? The police pay taxes to and usually a lot more than the majority of folk they deal with. So police should only nick druggies, thiefs and muggers and just ignore every other crime that is committed? Just prioritise these 3 and no other? My wouldn't that be a lovely society to live in!

  • @Traveller6abcxxx Officer Traveller, since when is protesting a serious crime. its no wonder that we have so much crime in the UK, because assholes like you and your muppet brain washed mates, do not have the balls to catch real criminals. Your obviously a cop. Do we not have freedom of speech you natzi loving douchebag. ?

  • @paul1967uk Protesting can be a crime under certain conditions. This video doesn't exactly show what had happened to lead up to this. And is there any need to be so insulting? Its always interesting that folk who claim we live in a free state are SO angry and insulting to other folk who disagree with them. No I am not a police officer, I just respect the great work they do.

  • @paul1967uk And Paul, look at the crime rates. Crime is falling and detected crimes are up with prisons full up. Seems a bit strange your comment that they don't "have the balls to catch real criminals". We do have freedom of speech, doesn't mean we can do what we want though, there are limits. Callin me a natzi?? You won't even listen to my opinion so its alright when freedom of speech suits you eh?

  • @dan101uk

Seems you do not understand the meaning of 'police state'.

  • @sunaru1 Thank you for making your point in a reasoned, mature manner.

In this country if you commit an offence you are legally obliged to identify yourself to the cops. This man didn't and so was arrested and dealt with by the legal system which is not what would happen in a police state where he could have been arrested or worse just for protesting (which is what the video tries to imply in the title), locked up indefinitely and police may well have brutalised the person with the camera.

  • @dan101uk

You are still making the mistake of believing that the law is prisitine and correct and the police officers acted correctly. The fact is, any police officer could find any reason to arrest another person - there are several 'catch all' laws e.g. behaviour about to / causing a breech of the peace.

The laws, if they really do exist, that allowed the police to treat and speak to this man - a human being, with right,- in such a way are repulsive and represent a police state.

  • @dan101uk

You have also come to the conclusion that the man committed an offence. How is this compatible with the idea of 'innocent until proven guilty'? What you mean is, if the police THINK a person has committed an offense, then they have the right to demand a name and address. So, it only requires a police officer to say 'I believed he / she commited and offence' and then they have the right to demand a name and address - police state.

  • @sunaru1 I am only commenting on this case. The man is committing an unlawful protest. If you listen at the start of the video you can catch the end of the cop talking about issuing a summons which would mean the man not being arrested, it is only because he still does not give his name he is arrested. I can see you hold a strong opinion but I don't think you fully comprehend the law. In this case the cops acted lawfully. I think they were quite reasonable & the man left them no other option

  • @dan101uk

I am saying that if the police acted lawfully (let's assume they did) then their behaviour represents a police state.

It is the law and the people upholding these undemocratic laws (i.e the police) that makes the UK a police state.

  • still aload of nonsence if he wanted to protest he should do it properly and stop trying to purposely make an issue by illegally protesting with the intention of getting arrested!

  • eh , what was he protesting about ? eh I dunno !

  • bloody lefties, the bloke is quite clearly resisting arrest.
