  • extraordinaire, magnifique j'applaudis j'aime

  • Spinosi has a lot of verve and zest and loves to accent the attack of the strings in this type of allegro arias... it does seem a bit too fast sometimes! A question - why do we see singers like Jarrousky and Dessay moving their arms in recording sessions as if they're conducting? it's very distracting... WTF is that? I always keep my arms still, it's very distracting to see a tempo laid out with conductor-like arms gestures... that's what the conductor is for...

  • @rlee1976 if i were to hazard a guess I'd say it was to help them to visualize the sound they want to produce.

  • For me - stunning!

  • This edition is just fabulous but the more I am listening the 3 CDs I feel all is played a bit too fast...maybe next time register it on 4 discs and the more time for emotions. Spinosi has often the intention to play a bit too fast..

  • is it just me or is Spinosi really, really hot? ouch!

  • He really is. And Jaroussky too.
