maybe i know why...there is a forum where you can download a beta map with all texture and sounds...download and copy in the m.i. folder...it works...i tried with e3_terminal...not 100% good...but 99% works
It's a compilation of recreated parts of the beta and converted files of the leak. Seeing how it takes ALOT of work to convert the files, due to the fact that the HL2 shown at E3 all the files and things were of a completely different format and compression. These guys are painstakingly recreating the game from the leak and fixing up pieces that were left out making the Missing Information 'whole'. So indeed some of these things are what were played during E3, and not copies.
So all the stuff was made in a mod? YEAH RIGHT! The bit that gets me is the weapons and the blue worm, these were all beta tested stuff, especially the ship section. They were all part of the game but were cut out, so its obviously a leak.
I take that back sorry. I just viewed the site and it is a mod based on the missing stuff in HL2. Mostly likely based on the book on the story of how HL and HL2 were made
