  • Thats fuckin creepy it sounds just like album version ......wtf is going on here?

  • Interpreting is serene though.

  • Its an old dialect, not english

  • i wonder how does it feel to hug Jonsi while he sings.. it must be like hugging an angel.. i love him so

  • best performance from Jónsi ever.

  • @colbin2012

    i actually like Cannibal Corpse.

but you are just being silly.

  • carobno - magic.

  • Online latin women for dating **busizz4me.info**

  • Sigur Ros: The worlds' most outstanding band.

  • @colbin2012 And I think Dream Theater is better than both combined times 10. Doesn't stop me from enjoying Sigur Ros though.

  • i did not know it was a guy singing

  • My favourite song by Sigur Ros.

  • I wake up every single time this song ends.

  • I do now know that I need to go see them. It must be a complete rush, a journey through your senses to witness this.

NaClu2!

  • one of my fav.

if you're a Sigur Ros admire check out Jonsi music.I(L)sigur

  • Who needs lyrics?

  • So, I love YouTube. I was looking for Gong from the Canterbury Scene and stumbled across this instead in my search results. Great find - thank you for the upload. :)

  • Amazing. Sounds just like the record.

  • ENCONTRE TU CANAL! HERMOMSA ROLA!

  • That voice can't be human. I don't believe it.

  • It's an angel voice ! ;-)

  • @7SnowyNights I can make that voice. I'm a monkey.

  • Hits a spot i didn't even know i had

  • exactly

  • la mejor banda del mundoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sigur roooooooooooooos i love this band is the best of the beeeeeees

  • check out DEAD CAN DANCE for equally spiritual music.. awesome musicians and singers both

  • Is there a band on this planet that can touch sigur ros for beauty, emotion and creativity,i think not, simply amazing.

  • @legniak1

    i think there are

    but very few

    sigur ros is amazing indeed

  • Esta canción es de mis favoritas, me mata emocionalmente, pero necesito escucharla de vez en cuando. Me encanta como usan la batería y el instrumento que usa Jonsi. Gracias por subirla. Saludos.

  • This song can let me rest and drift away in thoughts anytime, and I like it ;)

  • BEAUTIFUL.. ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER

  • omg im sorry but this song is soo beautiful in so many ways. His voice is so high pitched and yet he continues to go even louder. I also love the background music.=)

  • Orri is one of the world's best drummers. Sigur Ros are the best band the world has ever seen.

  • Yeah very under rated song really, it's actually quite a fierce song I think especially with a big crushendo like that, paints a mental picture of a battle that the hero only just wins having been thought dead to me at least

  • crushendo? hahahaa

  • @archipelligo wow that is almost exactly what I picture with the beginning of this song song. A grassland or brown wasteland with some type of epic battle with woodland people. That and dying in a natural disaster and seeing paradise at the end

  • perfect

  • makes me love.

  • Wow

  • fucking. perfect.

  • wow! that amazing.

if anyone understands how orri is getting that sound in the beginning tell me!

  • the most romantic and spiritual song I've ever heard.

  • Let's make up lyrics for this song :)

"you said that I used to fall on you with eyes closed"

    haha

  • I think that Sigur Rós' makes interactive music, 'coz they creat an atmosphere with the instruments and the voice, and we give direction to the trip by creating our own lyrics for each song. Cheers!

  • these eyes will follow, your eyes are cold, you seem to fall, you so for love

    hahah i have no idea

  • @ThanatosSagenev I think Sigur Ros makes music like Sigur Ros chooses to. THe human vocal cords (in this case) act as just another instrument, the centrifugal force. Therefore, lyrics are totally irrelevant for transport music of this caliber. Cheers back at ya!

  • @sandermeijer. It's more beautiful without lyrics.

  • @sandermeijer LA CANCION SE LLAMA GONE ESTA ES LA LETRA you said i suffered a lot but you`re right gone you said i suffered a lot but you´re right gone now you should have found the time a quite lone moon you should have shown all the time a quite lone moon you should have found a friend just as you are you should have found that you lost you!!! you`ve shone high as a flyier you now inspire lots you`ve shone high as a flyier you´ve sung right gone

  • @huglecammar you knows, your lies, your lies, your lies are just yours your lies are yours your lies you`re lier you lose you!!! whisper the sound of it you should have done like that whisper the sound of it you should have done like that whisper the sound of it you should have done like that you!!
  • @sandermeijer LOL

  • does anywone know the instrument the singer is playing?

  • best song from Takk I think... Those strings and drums bring back so many memories...

    Fenominal!!!!

  • does anybody know the location of this show?

    just so small and nice...

  • This has to be one of the best recent pieces of music ever created.

  • everytime this song gives me goosebumps. The drums on Takk make the album

  • I agree- Orri's drumming is amazing!

  • They're playing it faster because it's live and they're all excited as hell, quite justifiably.

    So passionate...

The little 8-bit Yamaha VSS sampling keyboard that does all the bat-vocals is Jonsi's favourite bit of kit, apparently.

  • There are 2 types of persons in this world:

    - The ones who are not able to feel Sigur Ros Music; this people may not tolerate Jonsi's voice and uncommon sounds.

    - The ones who can feel Sigur Ros Music; they feel every single sound from every song and Sigur Ros becomes an important part of their life.

I am one of those who can feel Sigur Ros music and they are an important part of my life.

  • wonderful said

  • Imanolchavez, I'm kinda in the middle there.

I love Sigur Ros' music, but I'd hardly say they're an important part in my life. They are inspirational, but to go so far and say I couldn't go without them is silly.

  • Agreed! I am blown away by Sigur Ros and Jonsi's voice- they are simply amazing...I get shivers listening to them.Only Iceland could have produced Sigur Ros!!!

  • Probably my favourite song of theirs. How the hell he does falsettos that high, I'll never know.

    Awesome band.

  • fantastic

  • most underrated sigur ros song =) i love it

  • yes, this is my favorite song atm

  • I love this song!!!!

  • usłyszeć sigur rós na żywo... kiedyś, może się spełni!

  • All of Takk... is amazing. This song is probably one of my favorites, though.

  • sooooo good.

  • i danced this song its sooo great i love sigur ros!

  • simply beautiful..

  • such a gorgeous song. Got Takk... for christmas this is deffo my fave song from it.

  • I got a question!... do you know some website or something to download this song?... because I search it and it donsen't "exist"...

  • try paying for it... or torrent the cd i guess

  • you can find the song in soulseek. If u still don't finding it, send me a msg and i will send the song to ur mail. Cheers, good luck

  • @primersemestre Gong is available as free download in sigur rós official website :)

  • The whole Takk... album is amazing. I can listen to the whole album without skipping a track.

  • what's the lead singer playing? i would assume old synth.

  • I love the drums in this song.

And everything. Doesn't quite touch Milano, but it's definitely up there in my favorite tracks from Takk...

  • wow that was really cool

  • God, I would kill to see them live >.>

  • Word.

  • Intense.

  • This is more than music. It's so beautiful, I bought Takk... really randomly because I liked the cover, and I'm now a huge Sigur Ros fan. Love it.

  • cover?

  • big waster ^^ ?

  • IS JUST BEAUTIFUL, WORDLESS

  • speechless :)

  • amazing is not enough for Sigur Ros

  • exactly :) there is no adequate adjective for them, amazing doesn't even do them justice..

  • This song is so beautiful...

  • fantastic...

  • placuch <3

  • I love you

  • Em-zet-ka. <3

  • made in my dream.

    !

  • This band is unbelievable.

  • amazing.

  • which effect is using jonsi on the beginning in the synth? it sounds like his voice reversed

  • Actually, its sounds like yust a sample.

  • I think it is a sample of his voice with the pitch altered, the same as the start and end of Vaka off ( )

  • made in my dream.

  • he doesnt make the language up, hes icelandic

  • actually, in this song he sings in hopelandic which is a made up language

  • it's hardly even a language: hopelandic that is.

it's more of jibberish which leaves a completely open interpretation for lyrics.

  • I love this song. I know he sings in mostly some kinda made up language but i think the song is about despair and hope. Really beautiful.

  • He wait a minute, the song after this which blends into it is missing-- it contains one of Amiina's best string spotlights. Is it on youtube? It's track 9 on the CD.

  • I love Orri, love him. Drum god.

  • This is my absolute favourite Sigur Ros song. I love watching them perform, Jonsi has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.

    <3

  • For anyone who is new to the band, find the studio version of this, on the album Takk, turn it up and enjoy. A journey worth taking for sure.

  • nothing short of amazzzing!

  • It seems to me like Orri has a small snare drum on top of the floor tom, cause right by the end u dont see the small snare on it anymore. I LOVE this song, but it seems like they played it a little too fast?

  • It looks more like a hi-hat near the beginning of the clip. I get the same effect putting a splash on a tom. I don't have the luxury of a 16 inch tom at the moment, but when I do, and if I happen to have any spare hats lying around, hehehe...

  • Anybody know what Orri puts on his floor tom to get that whip sound? It sounds so awesome!

  • lyrics?

  • There is no lyrics it's hopolendish, that means its bands isnvented language without any meaning.

  • amazing!!!!

  • Where did you get this video???

  • I got it from Sigur Rós' official website. Check out in download/videos, at the bottom of that section there's a link, click there and it'll take u to a page with a lot of Sigur Rós' videos.

    Cheers!

  • Ah i see, nice one cheers.

  • beautifull

  • awesome :D
