Looks fantastic. Thanks for the great review. Just wondering if it affects PC performance when you run it like a normal virtual machine? For instance, can you run your 3d games normally in this?
I got a reply from Returnil Support about their AV engine. They sad to me Returnil Virtual System 2010 incorporates the F-prot AV engine made by Frisk Software.
Thanks for letting me know, that is not the best av engine out there, I would hope they would buy better signatures, I know kaspersky sells their database and it would really go well with returnil, mainly becasue of good detection and low false positives.
Nice EPIC FAIL Videos today... LOL Hey listen I took your advise in using malwarebytes today on my sisters Xp computer. She had a normal computer that ran sluggish and so I used malwarebytes and found 20 things: 15 Rootkits and 4 Trojains. Imma just say that malwarebytes is so much better in removing things. So thanks again!!!
BTW: Her Mcaffee didn't find anything and she has mcafee security suite by AOL. That was a fail for the mc- people!!!
I'm really liking Outpost Security Suite. Hoping you'll get a chance to review it. Have a great weekend, though I've got a feeling this is how you spend your weekends :-)
So how was this an epic fail? He got the system very infected and Returnil rolled everything back to the way it was prior to infection. Looks like it did just what it was supposed to do...
This wouldn't work with CIS, would it? The AV at least would be in conflict...

mcfartard 2 years ago
Languy99,
I got an email from Returnil support team saying they will soon be introducing their own scanning AV engine that (their words):
1. Uses advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning
2. Moves malware and behavioral analysis to the client level
3. Provides distributed immunity for the entire community of users through near real time sharing of new detection information
4. Corrupt/damaged/infected file restore
5. Multi-state restore
I really hope they do great!

Languy99,
If you have to choose between Returnil and Shadow Defender, what would you do?
victorh2007 2 years ago
Languy99,
When the O.S. is virtualized under Returnil or Shadow Defender, does the system run slower?
victorh2007 2 years ago
Not that I noticed, the system ran fine.

good that it found some things, I would also try running SUPERAntiSpyware and see if that finds anything. Is the computer running any faster now?
