@DjSilver118 There's fast travel but he didn't use it because he wanted to show the environment and combat more. You'll be fighting big groups of zombies mid-game but this was around the start.

It'll only take about 3 / 5 whacks round the head with a bat to take you out.

Weapons will be easy to find... Guns maybe difficult especially in england.

Just a note on the driving bit, specifically the hitting of zombies. People don't explode into a shower of blood when hit by a car. Bodies happen to weigh quite a bit and they either go under the vehicle or get flipped up onto the hood and slide off one of the edges or the top. And since zombies are in essence simply walking dead bodies, they shouldn't magically disappear into a shower of blood when hit. Unless you're going REALLY fast. I call cop out on the physics engine.

Play a 5 hour campaign in which you shoot people with a group of AI squadmates. Go online with a group of real squadmates and shoot people. I totally agree. I didn't buy MW2, and I only bought BO (Worst campaign I ever played BTW) for Zombie's mode. I have Battlefeild: BC2, but I rarely play it anymore, and im soon to be selling CoD4. Every FPS is the same. Just varying gimmicks and sizes.

Dead Island is actually going to be something worth playing. People compare it to L4D, but I didn't even like L4D. It sucked.

I personally love the idea of this game, it's not as shootertastic as left for dead was which makes a bit of sense, how frequently would you have stockpiles of guns and ammo unless you're house is conviently located beside the local arms supplier XD. Shit like improvised weapons, especially the nail bat would be a trusty friend.

Guns should also be very counter productive, shooting up the place should damage items zombies may have and alert more zombies to your location, think about it this seems like a very quite place after all. not much going on, gun fire is fairly loud. I'd like to see it be situational as opposed to a good idea, goof for killing the big boys and the heavy hitters or large mobs but not for the mop up of a few average undead stumblers.

I'm not an expert on killing things, especially not zombies, but isn't adding spikes to a baseball bat the opposite of useful. A good whack to the head should break the skull and give a concussion probably even destroying the brain, but when you add the spikes it will just make the bat get stuck in the zombie leaving yourself defenseless as you pull it out.
