When radio programs were 15 minutes long, I can remember listening to Lanny Ross singing this as his theme. Loved it then .Still love it. Thank you for the memory.
I hold over 30 Mc Cormack 78's & I regret I never asked my old record dealers about this one. He was really an opera singer & classical song recitalist but he could make many a tin pan alley song sound like a fine arts masterpiece. The generation later operetta (movie) star (tenor) Allan Jones could do what McCormack did here also abeit a slightly different flavor. I think the orchestral accompianment here is conducted by Nathaniel Skilkret tho' the label of # 1092 does not credit him.
This is wonderful!! I love ALL of John McCormacks music and this one is such a fun and joyful piece. I think I shall sing along with him (but save everyone here the pain and agony and not publish it on youtube lol).
John is my favorite singer of all time! He is a singing machine!
I am 14 and I stumbled across this. I actually like this :)

This was a song that my Mum played on the piano and my Dad enjoyed listening to. Sadly she is no longer with us, but memories live on.

What makes this version different and better than many others is that John sings the full lyrics. Brilliant!
