wow i cant believe people still use rubbing alcohol on games, people used to do it back using regular nintendo but that RUINED GAMES! rubbing alcohol is not a solution it will work for a little while on your game then damage it in the long run as to where it will no longer work, there is a reason there are repair kits out there for these things, did you ever read rubbing alcohol on the labels? no. Rubbing alcohol is a passed down way to fix games from one moron to the next, ruins your collection
the only thing you should use on the metal contacts is an electronics cleaner that is made for metal contacts, not water, not WD40 rubbing alcohol will work if you do not have the electron circuit cleaner (found at any electronics supply store or online) by alcohol will leave a residue, so it is not ideal, windex i do not know if it would be good or not, have not used it myself, so not sure.
@TaeKwonDohBoy WD-40 will NOT help. That is a grease that helps with moving parts, but the cartridges don't have any moving parts. The WD-40 will actually make it harder for the system to read the cartridges.
Hey, I have a question. If you put alcohol or somethin in your game to clean it and it hasnt completely dried, will that mess up your genesis system as well?
i heard rubbing alcohol damages the pins and that Windex (of all things) is actually a better idea, i never tried rubbing alcohol but Windex works fine for me, the all purpose cleaner would probably do the job to actually
Dude, you sound baked as hell in this video. Hahaha

rubbing alcohol is not good for cartridge game its better 2 just use water that what i always use on nes sea
ukghuighuihuj 1 year ago
@ukghuighuihuj water can corrode metal though. that is why I prefer rubbing alcohol. It dries quickly and it doesn't cause rust.

@jjgames
Will WD-40 help the metal too?.

@ukghuighuihuj you are completely wrong.water can damage the board while rubbing alcohol is safe to use.research a little bit.

Don't use liquids at all, that's a good idea.

Windex can work too, but I like rubbing alcohol. Windex is made for cleaning windows and glass, not metal. This is why I don't like to use it.

I don't like using Windex to clean Video Games as well.

My voice got a lot lower didn't it. Actually, one of my employees made this video so the voice is quite a bit lower than mine.
