@scott93257 this is a 72.. . some people are really into the "hearse" theme but.. Im just not that dark..I only bought it for the engine! but.. I saw one at a car show with flame throwers. it was just ridiculous as am I.. haha.. my sons friends like to pile in it and do the local classy chassis parade.. and I take kids trick or treating in it at halloween.. other than that.. it doesnt get driven much. thanks for watching!
If you would like to see what a fairly stock 500 will do in a Mustang, search here for "LUXLX mustang" That was a stock shortblock that had a slightly hotter cam and not much else, with a TH400. He did spray it eventaully but other than a headgasket or 2 he never blew it up.
Those 472/500's are hard on starters and batteries. Did you hear it whine when you restarted it in the shop? They always sound like they aren't going to start.
Friend had one a couple years older than that one that developed a nasty habit of sticking the solenoid contacts if you cranked it too long. Then had to pull the cable to stop the starter.
It went through a few starters and batteries before finally getting a good original Delco starter that worked right.
63implr, that eight would be a 'sight' in that hearse; you could call it "Straight to Hell" then lets see you would have a 500 cube caddy motor for a ratty; not some puny 303 like someone we didn't see !!! lol Man youse guys are fun!!! trb
I think Sparks knew the location of the "mouse that got away", so had to jump up and investigate! LOL 120 mph speedo, made for high speed cruisin' That Issaquah location draws a lot of cars each weekend during the summer. It's fun to stop by and check out the assortment of cars!
I saw a GM mockup for those years of Caddys. They had an extra long nose for an intended V12. The mockup had a V12 BMW motor in it as an engineering exercise
probably thought it was a Mouse motor, than a Rat Motor.......LOL
