WotLK easily had the best music of all the expansions so far. Every other expansion had a few good, powerful songs, but WotLK did much better with the quiet, eerie songs.

I think mostly the Dragonblight represents Northrend... And the Dragonblight is so... bah! Just disgusting. I looked forward to Northrend, I love snow, I love Skandinavia etc, but what the hell is Northrend? Mobs and cities everywhere, sometimes snow, sometimes not... I thought Northrend is the empire of the scourge... Why the fuck is no scourge mob in the Storm Pikes?

This track has the element of nature on its side, it makes certain feelings of deathly silence and majesty are evoked to listeners with its perfect piano notes. Each piano key is like the tapping of an icicle. It's absolutely amazing how certain instrument sounds can immediately be associated with elements of nature.

Actually, according to the "Making of WotLK", the piano is "Plucked" Meaning they pulled off the top and 'plucked' the strings to make the sounds. :)

Still very haunting and beautiful though.

Whenever I'm in dragonblight, the music makes me think of the dragon queen Alexstrazsa.

Nice zone, but my most favourite in wotlk has to be storm peaks.
