  • Anybody know the year this album was released?

  • At 1:04 when the background harmony "woows" come in, not only has it always given me a boner...but i always come back to this song to hear the fines of it whenever im laying down harmony tracks alike im my studio...it is not easy! This song nails that acutely keen, and in my regards, its the standard of what background vocs should sound like. Thanks Alan.

  • this is awesome

  • I lost the very first one that came out on CD and now I have finally after years of not noing any thing about computers have finally found my mostloved CD.....................yea

  • Awesome music....

  • one classic album, for sure

  • One thing that has kept me awake recently is whether chickens actually have teeth...

  • I was a Key West squid in '78 when I first heard APP- knew of Poe, but this made his works come alive! Still marvel at the connectivity of Poe's words and this music!

  • @evkristoff Exactly! I'd been searching for the album at our local library for ages back in '04 (freshman) and I'd known of Poe and loved reading his works but after finally finding the cassette or CD (CD I believe) I brought it in for my Honors English class for our 'Bring in something that makes you think of Poe. Everyone loved it. Even my uppity teacher. Ah, good times. She took the whole class-hour to talk about how it fit in with our study of Poe's works.

  • This song encouraged me to kill someone.

  • Faded , Fuckin Faded , Oh yea im fuckin faded

  • @SheikhBeatz They tellin lies...oh I must of made it.

  • this song(which i love)sound kinda "beatle-like?

  • @imsneeky Yeah I think the fist APP work is influenced, more or less by Beatles, Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder and several Classical authors. Cheers!

  • School brought me here.

  • familiarity brought me here.

  • was i the only one who typed in those who are rich and whose troubles are few? YMCMB

  • lol i actually read the book then heard this song lol

  • @HI93336 wats is it about

  • @dajoka1997 This guy wants revenge on Fortunato for insultin him nd tricks him with a "cask of amontillado" (Amontillado is a wine and cask is a barrel" and basically does the perfect crime and murders him.

  • thumbs down if lil wayne brought you here

  • Golly but I like Prog Rock.

  • can you put lyrics on it

  • i know everyone is saying how this is a awesome song, which i agree, but you cant say wayne sucks, if you have read the poem and can see how wayne connected it to jay z, its actually genius, i love the idea

  • its craze they made this into a Jay-Z diss.. that takes some idea skills

  • lil wayne took a classic song like this and remade it into crap its an absolute shame

  • Durning English 09

    Anyone????

  • @xxxazhangxxx aha juss finished readin this is ma honors class xD

  • HEY GUYS I LISTEN TO LIL WAYNE ISNT THAT COOL

  • i have loved this whole album for years! Poetry and music collide!

  • doesn't matter where you heard it from, if you like this piece of art, then you know musical taste :)

  • me2

  • WOW! Because I fuck with Lil' Wayne now I fuck with Alan Parsons...

  • this is the reason why wayne is the fucking best

  • Thumbs up if you the Googled the Intro of "It's Good" by Lil Wayne!

  • you should listen to Jay-Z ride this beat on "Threat" off the White Albulum. Ill.

  • If you actually listen to this, it multiplies Wayne's Jay-z diss on It's Good. If you actually know the story "The Cask Of Amontillado" and listen to the words of the sample... He went in on Jay-z in every aspect.

  • @OfficialFlyyBoyz man you werent lyin i checked out the lyrics of this alan parsons song shit it was so on point Wayne definetly knew what he was doin on that track good find man

  • wayne sampled this i remeber this song way last year

  • The Carter IV brought me here.

  • yeah it brought me here too man

  • @AQS2014

    Me too! lol

  • @AQS2014 same here

  • @AQS2014 mee too !

  • This has always reminded me of the Beatles "She's Leaving home" chorus.

I could listen to AP all day long.

    And I frequently have. ^__^

  • 2:57 - 2:13

  • It's Good indeed!

  • It's Good

  • @TheRealNickMarino jada tore it up

  • So nice to listen to again... the album is hard to find and my cassette crapped out long ago. Good ol' You Tube!

  • Tolles Lied. Das Album und I Robot sind die BESTEN!!

  • Which program do you used to make the video?

  • i never posted this!!

  • @MsDeedidiva i am also thedanigirl1 so ya

  • he apparently betrayed montresors family... and if you remember the symbolism of the foot stepping on the snake. the snake is dead, but the venom still penetrates the foot through the fangs. it symbolizes vengeance and the philosophy of an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth

  • @thedanigirl1 Where does it say he betrayed them? It never says what Fortunato did.

  • @TheDarkEricDraven

    It was an insult.

  • (say it’s a game and I’ll come to no harm) You’ll feel your life slipping away You who are rich and whose troubles are few May come around to see my point of view What price the crown of a king on his throne When you’re chained in the dark all alone (spare me my life only name your reward) Part of you dies each brick I lay (bring back some light in the name of the lord) You’ll feel your mind slipping away

  • what's the story, can anybody tell it?

    and, also, the lyrics?

  • @fingerman100 are you serious?

  • dude... just sent a chill up my back and gave me goosebumps.

  • The Poe's story is TERRIBLE. I remember the pray of the victim before the wall is closed with the lovers "For the love of God, Montressor!!!!".

With this music, the story will froze you.

  • @romeropablo I'd like to know what Fortunato actually did to Montresor

  • @SeesternNanaho read the story. Buy the book. Reading is important.

  • @romeropablo I read it about 5 times and I own the book 'selected tales' but there is no explicit answer of 'what has Fortunato done to Montresor that justifies being buried alife'

  • @SeesternNanaho He insulted Montresor.(Which was apperently a big no-no back then.) Oh btw im only 13.

  • @wierdman21 Why does it matter how old you are?

  • @wierdman21 Yes I agree with Jcpelly ... Nobody really cares how old you are. I'm 14 - O.M.G

  • E.A. Poe should be proud of this chef d'oeuvre! :) it's a freaking masterpiece!

  • The story is terrible! Good old Poe...

And the music...wow...Parson's got a talent in this, no doubt.

  • i love this song. our english teacher played this song when we read this story................eerie
