@hmonggirl89 Actually I am not sure because the roasted chili paste is pretty distinctive with it's sweet flavor. I suppose you can do a basic stir fry using fish sauce, a little bit of sugar and some oyster sauce.
Mmmm...this recipe looks good. Glad to see you didn't use oyster sauce. In my household, we use oyster sauce in almost every stir-fry, which is kind of boring. May I ask if that roasted chili paste is homemade? If it's not, then what brand do you use and what is the exact name of the paste?
@koolpebble The roasted chili paste was pre-made and it came in a jar. There is a link on my website with the image. The brand I use is Pantainorasigh.
@Chammyk I'm glad the recipe work out for you. As for the beef stick, will have to see about making a video but I do have a recipe for it already on my website.
@NattHrafn There's no surprises that Thai and Cambodian have a lot of similar, if not the same, things including food and music. The title of this song in Khmer is called "Mdich Baan Serch Oeuy Kyom' which translate to "Why did you laugh at me" or in Thai "Tum Mai Hua-Rors Hai Chun". I just know that this is an oldie song. I haven't come across this song in Thai yet, but if you have or know where to listen to it, please share. I would like to hear it too =)

The khmer music reminds me a lot of Thai music. The ingredients are also quite similar to thai recipes.
