Yea completely understandable. but one person ruined that entire show for everyone. just think how pumped you would be to see Death and some dumb asshole throws a beer or some shit and Chuck walks off and the shows over.
is this the concert where someone's head was smashed in? (leaving to him leaving) or was that another. eitherway, both understandable situations in which to leave
Embarrassment and frustration over the song having gotten messed up, and then anger over the drink getting thrown at him was a bad combination of emotions...I'm sure if it had just been the mic that had fallen over then he probably would've continued the show, but when the drink got splashed on him he probably heard a voice in his head saying "fuck this...".
He shouldn't have ended the show, but at the same time I can kind of understand why he felt the urge to.
You can clearly see why Chuck ends the show at about 4:55-5:00. Someone also throws beer (or some liquid) all over the place at 5:13, it's clearly an awful crowd. That's no way to treat a genius like Chuck Schuldiner.
Does anyone have the rest of this video or is this it? I am the guy in the Dead Horse shirt that was being carted off by Houston's finest *cough*. I was standing back hanging out with a couple of members of Dead Horse when the chaos ensued. What the video doesn't show is all of the flying debris that others hurled while I tried to get the hell outta there. So if anyone has more of this video, please post it....I'd like to see how much of my arrest was caught on video. Thanks.
The second song they play just before Chuck ends the show is Living Monstrosity, not Spiritual Healing

It looks like the guy crowd surfing at 4:59 kicks the mic stand into Chuck's face. And then some idiot throws water at him at 5:14.
