Gee, I guess God Himself got sick of this guy - he that declared himself royalty, and leached off the undeserved adoration of all. An entertainer - he was closer to being a court jester than a prince, yet was able to get away with sex crimes against children because the The Great (and brainless) Unwashed that have greater regard for entertainment than lawfulness extended into the jury pool.
