There's this little thing called carbon dating which helps date fossils and looking at the expansion rate of the universe, and the rate of change on that expansion, to back track the time frame on this solar system and the universe as a whole. Huckabee is perhaps the only Republican who has a chance to defeat Obama come 2012 given his ability to make a good speech, something exceedingly rare from Republicans nowadays. His sincerity and common sense is what sets him apart from other candidates.
I like Huckabee, he is what I call a good compassionate conservative. He is conservative on social issues, but is moderate on economic issues and I like that as an independent who usually votes democrat (i've voted republican before). I dont see him winning nationally because of his social conservatism. I am impressed that he got 45% of the black vote in Arkansas when he ran for governor where blacks make up 16% of the population.

Huckabee was re-elected TWICE in Arkansas , had approval ratings as high as 77%. He was voted one of the 5 best govs. in the US, improved the school systems, halved welfare and greatly improved infrastructure in the state. Started ARKids to help those children under 18 with health care. I don't believe you are from Arkansas or you would KNOW these things. Polls showed he had overwhelming support from the state of Arkansas so you must not know anyone from the state either.
Arkansas is such a great place, never been there, but my dad was back in the 60s slot of farmers and hill folk lol, Well he didnt say hill folk, Huckabee said that in his speech in texas when he was talking about how his father took him to go see the governer in person, and told him that this was probably going to be the only time he would ever see someone that important lol, well that didnt turn out the way his father expected. Huckabee is the most honest politician to come along on decades and he has visionary answers to the country's problems. Was the only presidential candidate gutsy enough to endorse the Fair Tax, the single most thing we could do to have a long-term positive effect on our economy. Great strong leadership is what Huckabee offers from a man we can respect.

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Huck at a convention in June and he has the most unique way of going from the most powerful, awe inspiring speaker on the stage,to shaking your hand 10 minutes later and making you at once feel so comfortable he seems like an old friend. The man is amazing.

--Gallup's large annual pro-life/pro-choice poll showed a pro-life majority for the first time in 15 years and a steady increase over that time
The social conservatism will not hurt Huckabee with voters...it will hurt him with the media that doesn't like that.
That said, I hope his pragmatic leadership of Arkansas is more in the forefront if he runs again.

I disagree with that! Reagan was a better script reader and because of his experience as an actor, he developed ability to improvise 'in character'. that aside, Reagan, tho popular, was probably one of the worst administrators we ever had in the Whitehouse, not as bad as GWB, but close. The same power squad driving his train were the people behind GWB's administration, minus only the one's who croaked or were indicted.

It will be a long time before anyone would give Palin a chance as a presidential candidate. She is a good conservative but she is not qualified to be commander-in-chief and could never win in a general election. She should never have accepted the vp spot when she clearly wasn't ready.

These are some of the most inspiring words I have ever heard coming from a man with the character and EXPERIENCE and the vision that is right for this country. Why McCain didn't add this "national treasure" to his ticket I'll never know but better for Huck to not have to follow behind McCain's poorly run campaign. When he was governor of my home state of arkansas he would come and give the governor's award for the steak cook off in magnoila arkansas i met him so many time's and i was a senate page for the arkansas state senate i got to go in a senate committe hearing and then in the governor's office to see mike huckabee before that we had to pic's with him anyway.

This speech spoke to me. It told me that we need someone who fought for our freedom, someone who has continued to fight for us, and someone who will always fight for us to be our next president of the United States. Huckabee was re-elected TWICE in Arkansas , had approval ratings as high as 77%. He was voted one of the 5 best govs. in the US, improved the school systems, halved welfare and greatly improved infrastructure in the state. Started ARKids to help those children under 18 with health care. I don't believe you are from Arkansas or you would KNOW these things. Polls showed he had overwhelming support from the state of Arkansas so you must not know anyone from the state either.

Arkansas is such a great place, never been there, but my dad was back in the 60s slot of farmers and hill folk lol, Well he didnt say hill folk, Huckabee said that in his speech in texas when he was talking about how his father took him to go see the governer in person, and told him that this was probably going to be the only time he would ever see someone that important lol, well that didnt turn out the way his father expected. Huckabee is awesome!!

Was the only presidential candidate gutsy enough to endorse the Fair Tax, the single most thing we could do to have a long-term positive effect on our economy. Huckabee got more delegates per $ spent than ANY candidate either dem. or rep. this election. The ONLY reason he didn't win was a lack of money. He got well over 4 million votes before he dropped out. He came in 2nd behind McCain and no one ever heard of hin when he started out. "ATFC" was the speech that put Reagan in the national spotlight and made America know that he was really a politician that cared.
Huckabee's speech on Wednesday could have that same impact. So, that's why I call it the modern day "A Time For Choosing."

We really don't have that strong of a leader right now. Reagan was the last one. Maybe H.W. Bush until he lost the election, but after Reagan got alzheimer's we really haven't had a strong leader. W. Bush is the President, but he's not on good terms with most American's.

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Huck at a convention in June and he has the most unique way of going from the most powerful, awe inspiring speaker on the stage,to shaking your hand 10 minutes later and making you at once feel so comfortable he seems like an old friend. The man is amazing.

unfortunately, there will never be less government. Words are words,but if there is no action, those words are empty.I admire and respect Sen. McCain. I do. But, I don't feel that their(Republicans)view are truly going to help the American people.Like it or not, the Republicans have never helped out the middle-class people significantly.
