  • I remember this JAM PLAYING when i visited NYC in the 80's.

BENTLY'S NIGHT CLUB. it ROCKS HEAVY !!! the coolist spot to party at..

  • there was always some chile in the club prancing on the boards balancing a beer can on his head, in perfect rhythm to the music....remember?

  • I first heard this in the mid 90's at an outdoor rave in rural illinois called Dreamfest..... a dj from san fran named Dante played it and wow...... it left an impression let me tell you, house isn't even my thing but I still got to hear this every so often just to go back to that time and place!

  • OH MY LORD THIS SONG!!!!! ONE OF THE ALL TIME HOT FABULOUS SONGS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE FABULOUS.. YEAH YOU USED TO..AND BLACK FOLK USED TO MAKE THE BEST MUSIC BEFORE AWFUL HIP HOP AND RAP!!! BRING THIS BACK!! PLEASE WE ARE BEGGING FOR IT!!

  • One of the TRUE HOUSE CLASSICS.

  • To all my(BRICK CITY) Newark,NJ family!!!!!!

  • To leevum1. Are you thinking of These Memories by Oh Romeo/Bobby Orlando?

  • Does anyone know who sang the song, "Memories?"

  • @leevum1 there was a song called Memories by Johnny O, that made the b97 friday night dance parties all the time, on mic mac records

  • Please God, can I go back just one more time...

  • I wish I lived in the 80's :(

they should bring raves and stuff like this back

  • yes odells was the shit, you know if you belong.

  • It's hard to think back to the days when Ralphi was a teen working at a record store. From record store to record producer he was a great talent.

  • classic, feels like am back at hearthrob's..1018..54, roseland,paladium...club city n sequola

  • to my chi town niggas

  • this takes me back

  • awsome the best

  • And...this won't be the last word of course to this debate! House is from the US, of course it is. But...Mike Pickering was playing house at the Hacienda in Manchester, England, on the Friday 'Nude' nights, in 1986. It was the only place in the UK that was...with a couple of exceptions. He was years ahead....it really took off though in 88

  • HOUSE IS A FEELING...it's AMAZING how black music played in gay clubs in Chicago and New York became the global phenomenon it is now...it's amazing how as a 16 year old in 1989, I was jacking on the dancefloors of illegal parties in Manchester, England, whilst people were jacking across the pond too. We really 'got' house in the North of England, thanks to Mike Pickering and others. House really is a universal language...thank you Chicago, New York and Detroit. Big respect.

  • @konspiracykid

    Thank you, Wikipedia!

  • @konspiracykid chicago got love for you too! house music all night long!!!

  • @konspiracykid I was part of the whole movement here in LA -I was 19.. 1989 at the time and we remember the same undergrounds and the same feeling..It was a feeling and a movement .. Jack your body luv!

  • @konspiracykid i just think the UK had bigger nutters and more MDMA!! Thats why it exploded over here more than over the pond. I can't believe that clubs in the US were going as mental as the hacienda and heaven!!

  • @konspiracykid We are the same age then, I was one of those 16 year olds in the clubs in NYC dancing holes in the floor to this!

The dancing back then was CRAZY, someone should put a vid of some of those songs and dances! The Kick Step was CRAZY when done right!

  • @konspiracykid So right mate. I was 16 in '92 when I got the bug. Moved to Manc to work in record shops and clubs purely coz of house music and it don't get much better than this! U know DJ Funk's ghetto remix from (I think '94)? Very naughty...

  • @konspiracykid Right On Kid! ~ Rave On! > DJ(UNITE)MC - MADCHESTER - ENGLAND.

  • Great!!!!

  • Ralphi Rosario/Rosabel: By FAR, the Kings of Queers dancing on drugs. LOTS of drugs. There have been more bar raids by police at Ralphi Rosario/Rosabel giggs than any other Dj...except Mr. "I dont do drugs but am addicted to Special K and Meth" Junior Vasquez.

It got so bad that queers stopped going to Ralphi/Rosabel giggs because they didn't want their stashes to be confiscated by the police.

  • @Showinbulge PREACH! this children don't know what the girls used to go through!

  • @Showinbulge Would you like to supply any evidence to this?

    Don't be a cunt.

  • All the years and places I danced on packed floors to this all time classic,

it was the music and not the walls holding me up.

  • Heard this at Yikes reunion.. cannot believe time has gone so so quickly from our early days of dancing in 1987!!!

  • One of the best tracks ever!! I heard it the first time at RedZone in NY as a 16 year old. My cuz snuck me it and I was phuckin' HOOKED ON HOUSE FOR LIFE LIKE A DRUG!! Most of my friends couldn't relate until later. I'd leave those fools at home on the steps and head into Midtown Manhattan looking for my fix of the deepest house in the city. Those fools caught on soon after that once they needed to know where I was going every weekend. I feel like I gave life to 5 little house fanatics!

  • top tune from back in the day-London England crew

  • @chanslr I was born and raised in Chitown. House music originated here no doubt. House music got its name because thats where most of the records were played, in ppls houses and basement parties. Popularity blew up when the bigger Djs of the time played thier house on the radio where led house music to break out from Chicago. All these old skool jams they got here on the tube were jams of a movement. The movement of your culo to the sound of house music. Bringing it back... VRP...INC.

  • Been lookin for this for about 7 years! finally found it! The one i heard b4 was a remix played on friday nites in Tampa florida. It was the jam! Can't believe I finally found it!

  • i rembember dancing 21 years ago in this club in paris fuck 21 years ago

  • Before the internet, before wikipedia, one dude in the Bay Area (Cali) ARGUED back in the late 80's/early 90's that House Music (as we know it since) originated in Europe! Europe? I've lived in Chi-town since 1981 and I witnessed the the House Genre grow from the local scene and reached out internationally in less than a decade (btw, I've lived in Paris/Europe '89-'90 and listened on it's radio stations the influence of Chicago House/Detroit Techno there). Hey Bay Area Dude, you're HELLA whacked

  • @chanslr hey my mate im from yorkshire england and you are 100% RIGHT my friend.i was into all early house and techno and in the early days everything that was comming out in the clubs in mid 80s over in the UK was from chicago or the states.

all the european house didnt kick off until the late 80s

  • @chanslr

I grew up in chi-town and you got damn right House music is from there! I just turned 21 in 84... And house music was HUGE!!!!! If you could dance back in the day you could go to any club and have blast.. CHICAGO RULES!

  • @chanslr House music is Chicago born. Check out "The Birth of House music" search. Look for Marshall Jefferson

  • @JEDI7ACEN straight westside!hell yeah! sneakin in the factory. davinci manor. im 37

  • @JEDI7ACEN: Damn, make up your mind, HOUSE-HEADS! Was it Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk, Frankie Knuckles, now Marshall Jefferson??? Is beggining to be like the different GODS in the different religions. And in the end...No one might know exactly for sure How/When/Where HOUSE-MUSIC started. I guess the guy that said it started in EUROPE has a legitame shot after all (if we're all going by hear say)

  • @rob5hh LOL. Well I don't know who was first, but I'm going with where it was first...CHICAGO! That's was a good analogy, the different religions and gods.

Was this all created from House of Marshall, The House of Farley, or the House of Frankie?

The proof in on records, Chi town. What good classic house music came out of Europe before 1989?

  • @chanslr TrUe TrUe!

  • @chanslr Europe? I was DJing in NYC in the 1980's and when we were bringing house in, the UK was playing Loose Ends and that slow R&B groove stuff. They caught in a few years later, but to say house came from Europe is ignorant.

  • @chanslr im not disputing your claim....but........its not where your from its where you at. i dont really care where it came from, i fookin love house....nuff said.....peace

  • @chanslr

    house= warehouse, chicago. il

garage= frankie knuckles, NYC, need i say more?

not even worth debating. though even a lot of great house US house producers had euro releases ... i always thought it was cause the pressing were such better quality ...

your buddy from the bay might have been referring to kraftwerk, however ???

i guess it's not that important.

  • @timothyand I could I forget the warehouse?Good times

  • besides, house came from disco, anyway

  • @chanslr Mate, anyone who knows house music knows where it come from. Im from the UK and some of my fav djs are from the states. What amazes is me is not that Europeans dont know where it originates, but americans. Amazing really. Such musically rich country. Those who think it come from Europe are either lazy or just dont have the right mates. Luckily i do. They know their music and i have benefited from it. Carter=absolute legend. He rocked it at the end for 5 years. The best years of my life.

  • @chanslr That is correct! HOUSE grew from NY and Chicago. mainly started by Frankie Knuckles and Junior Vasquez. Precursor was the The Paradise Garage. But I would say that the SOUND FACTORY really set it off.

  • @chanslr Maybe his point was that a lot of the music that inspired early US house and techno - Kraftwerk and the like - was European.

  • Classic house started in Chicago but it was inspired by Larry Levin at the Paradise Garage in New York. Frankie Knuckles exported the Larry Levin style when he moved from NY to Chicago and then the rest is history.

  • do some research into ron hardy.......

  • yes m8 - legend!

  • classic house started in chicago....new york made it pop off.....

  • Sorry The Best Mix Is NOT here On Youtube... I,ve Got To Upload The Best...

The Beats Are Weak, The Beginning Is Horrid... Gimme An Hour =) LOL

  • I agree
