@HomieKnight1337 not in yellow version you didn't. He wont let you evolve him, you have to get a different pikachu or transfer him to a diff game then evolve him, you can't just use a thunderstone on him.

Raichu can appear using the Mew glitch, the Special Stat of the opposing pokemon must be 85. HINT: fight a Ditto with your pokemon having a Special stat of 85 I think you can find one at Cinnabar Island.

the only way to evolve the pikachu given to you by oak is to trade it to red, blue, silver, gold, crystal, or another yellow game and evolve it there. then when you trade it back you will have a raichu, but it will no longer fallow you around. i did it a long time ago when my pikachu got to level 100, and i traded it to my gold version, than traded it back.

there are two ways to get mew (thats what they say i only tried 1)

1: get to cerulean city beat gary and all trainers on the way to bill's house except: the trainer in the grass next to the bridge,the fourth trainer you see after you get charmander ( the 1 with lv. 17 slowpoke) go to bill's house and go back to cerulean (don't battle them yet) catch an abra go to the trainer in the grass PRESS START immidiatly

i've also heard that if you trade your pikachu you get on yellow to another game like blue or red you can evolve it there & then trade it back over but if you do that you don't have him follow you around
