You know, if a shooting Star happens while all the planets align and the sky turns green in the middle of a Sunny Night, Konami might Bring Goemon back to the states(Thumbs up if Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is The BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!)
only way you'll be getting this golden gem is from a used game store that happens to carry japanese titles (good luck) only other way would be by using an emulator. You'll also need to learn some basic japanese and by making extensive use of a dictionary.
This game makes very little use of Kanji so it would be simple enough to read once you can understand Kana (it's not as hard as it seems. I mastered both hiragana and katakana in under 2 weeks)
Funny that the only Japanese exclusive series of games that I ever liked happens to be also my favorite SNES game series of all time.
Normally japanese exclusive games tend to be boring rehashes of old ideas with oversexed themes, unnecessarily exhuberant panache and bizarre gameplay but this series truly nailed it by managing to be genuinely original and fun at the same time, with that quirky japanese touch applied in just the right way.
Ganbare Goemon is definitely underrated, but one of the best game series I have ever played. If only they (whoever 'they' are?) would translate all of the games and make one big compilation!
Working Designs was working on porting some of the Ganbare Goemon games. They dedicated a lot of their floorspace at E3 to it. Unfortunately, Sony basically said that they didn't feel it would be profitable (because the graphics were outdated) and refused to let the project go through. WD has since gone out of business, which is a real shame since they were one of the classiest game companies I knew...
im one of the die hard fan's of this game, for mend years well, back in 92, to bad don't sale well here, in US, that's wy you haven't seen the goemon, games here it really sad, i have some of the games but i still have to get, goe,3 and 4
well you cod pay 5th goemon N64 game the story has nothing do with outer goes games but it will make thank want is edo and well pay the 1th one and find out for yourself,
I'm a huge fan of the Ganbare goemon series and this was the 4th game in the series which has the villian Seppukamaru and his Egg henchmen from the Ganbare Goemon anime dubbed by ADV Films.
Ha ha, the old perverted man. I forgot his name, kind of sad.
I remember Impact tho, best into for a robot. I had the MP3 for it but I lost it when I was moving files from my old comp to new one. I haven't been able to find it since.
Seems like there are more Goemon games than I knew about. Sad most of them never made it to the US.

Wow,even in the SNES,Goemon was already packing good catchy japanese tunes :D
I prefer the soundtracks of the Mystical ninja better, though.

They should just hand it over to Nintendo because Sony is a real graphics whore not to mention Goemon ORIGINALLY Started off with Nintendo.
Animeboy619 3 years ago
@darkknight109 Yes, they were translating the PS2 version of the game. It's a shame.
There were 4 games for PSOne also, never translated or released outside Japan, of course.
We were lucky to get two of the three N64 versions in english (well, the third was a kind of strange board game, very complicated).
