This a great overview. I was trying to decide on the HDMIX or HDCD1 but all the negative reviews of the HDCD1 sold me on getting this HDMIX. Now, I don't have to carry 3,000 CDs to each gig.
I think it costs around $1,000, but have seen it as low as $800. Will order mine soon and get a 1-terabyte internal hard drive. With my CDN-88 dual CD players as well I'm set to go. I'm sure I'll love this unit. Just wished it had two CD/DVD players included, but I can live with this.
Looks like you can maybe (maybe) assign tracks to decks from the IHDD. I don't know much about mixing, just getting into it, so forgive me if I got a term wrong or something.
no. if oyu wanted to use scratch live or somethign like that you need to buy the scratch live box(sl1 or sl3) and then you can make the timecode mp3 and put it on the harddrive. then you can use it but you wwill need the laptop
uh, how much does it COST DAMNIT! that's so stupid that manufacturers don't have a MSRP on their demonstrations or ANYTHING... it's a great system, I want it, but I don't want to get false-hoped about it, you know? 5/5
So has anyone found an ide terabyte yet, and if so, where?

Wait, so with this could I connect it to a pair of turntables and scratch time-code vinyl straight from the hard-drive, without a laptop?
