Wow...you know, I just came here from watching the making of Do They Know Its Christmas and aside from Bono, Sting, Sir Paul and possibly Duran Duran and Boy George - the true STAR power + talent level of the the Canadian gathering is insanely better. One of things I liked best about this song (compared to the US & UK efforts) was that each singer's line reflected their distinct style and voice. Even without watching the video, you can clearly recognize almost all of the singers -- there's no mistaking voices like those of Lightfoot, Murray, Mitchell, Young, Hart, Adams, Lee, etc.

In comparison, the US & UK songs somewhat homogenized the singers: only those having really distinct voices, like Boy George & Michael Jackson, are distinguishable.
