@NeonVars These garbage clones may be parallax corrected, but they are no where near true parallax free like my real EO Techs. The EO Tech is a Holographic sight, same technology used in fighter jets, hence the higher price tag. These clones are crappy red dot sights with a little crap illuminated reticle. A true EO Tech's reticle looks as if it's projected beyond the sight about 50 yards, so as you move your head, the reticle does not move AT ALL.

@arxidamos13 I'll tell you why you wouldn't want to put one of these on a real firearm. Because real guns aren't a game, like this airsoft is. Put one of these crap clones on a real gun and have it malfunction when your life depends on it. Boom, your dead because you couldn't get a bead on the enemy/aggressor. I own true EO Techs, and these clones are NOTHING like them. They are absolute garbage and I wish the manufacturers would take a hike cause they are putting some peoples lives in danger.

@JamesCamaro1 Because the Recoil on a real rifle is kicks much harder and it's a "shock". It will kick these cheap knock offs out of zero. a real rifle is far more accurate than an airsoft gun so the standards is much higher. If my sight on my M4 kicked out even 1 MOA I would be pist! at 300 meters 1 MOA on my M4 this is a difference of 3-5 inches on my target, which means there is good chance I would miss the target. In Afghanistan I could have shot the kid standing next to the enemy.

@barkers090 i just got mine, and yes you can drop it on and tighten it up. its a really nice sight too, nice reticule, easy to adjust, and almost no paralax, and uses aaa batteries, so you dont have to search the world twice for batteries.

@m1lo2 Why would you want the front sight post for any distance if you have a red dot? If you're using a red dot, you don't need your iron sights at all. I'm assuming you line your front sight post up with your dot? You don't have to do that with a red dot. once you zero it, you just aim and fire. I know I'm an Infantryman and while at BCT I did the same thing you did and the DS laughed and corected me. I haven't used my Iron sights since I was in BCT, and I qualify expert out to 300m every time

@abcde401 your front and rear sights are supposed to be used together and are supposed to be zeroed to w.e. range you desire. so it's the same with the red dot. so it's a matter of what your preference is and whether or not your gun has adjustable front and rear sights. If you zero your iron sights to 25yrd anything "nearer" or "further" is going to be off target but it's the same concept with the red dot.

@abcde401 Now with the red dot you dont have to be as steady because you dont have to line up the rear sight post to the front sight post and get a good sight picture. It's much faster to bring the red dot up and just put the dot on your 25yrd target than it is to line up your sights. Red dots are great for CQB or close range targets, personally I never use iron sights. I have them on my military issued M4 as backups incase the battery dies on my red dot. I hope your not confused lol

And what about more precise shots? wouldnt a parallax free low power scope or iron sight be better? Are red dots worth it when u have to pay over $100 for a good one and u have put batteries in it and keep it from hitting things?

@abcde401 If your reffering to airsoft, I mean at 25yrds I swear by red dots and a scope is not good for CQB because your vision constantly is changing between the magnified sight and when you take the weapon away. I have an Aimpoint CompM4 on my M4 and you can litterally leave the battery on for 7 years lol as far as it breaking, good luck trying to break it lol you have a better chance of snapping my iron sight off than my Aimpoint. Scopes are for long range. we do alot of CQB in the Army

@n2bracing2 Thanks for the info. you made some good points. I forgot real red dots are made of metal. That 7 years from one AA battery is pretty amazing. Ive tried practicing with a scoupe mounted on my airsoft gun and its HARD to bring the gun up so i can see well for CQB. I think for airsoft im going to get a removable 2x red dot since i want to see my bb's and i have to switch to a pistol for close range anyways. Thanks again!

@bentohud Yes, it does, but it's bearable. You can still use this sight well with the front sight of an M4. If you don't like it, take off the front sight, and use a Dremel to remove the triangle, and repaint it. It's what I did, I'm SO GLAD I did.

@bentohud Well sometimes and some times it dont, by that i mean you can raise the scope to be above the iron sights in the front. The other is the dot in the scope is supposed to be aligned with the front of the iron sights. This is mostly common if you cant detach the front iron sights. (this is for a real gun). But for airsoft yea it does. lol

Ok people I tested one of this eotech 553 clone (sand color) in my real ACR rifle and works nice we tested in 25 meters and using .223 ammo, 62grn, brand of ammo: Brown Bear. Now is up to me to see how this clone continue to work in my rifle, is nice, hard material for exeption of the battery cover that is plastic, all other parts are nice. I decided to test it because i dont go every day to the range, so i prefer to test the economic holosight and for now is good.

@AStickManProductions i personally wouldnt bother resetting the sight every time the wind picks up, just do it once on a calm day and leave it, and its more like if you play airsoft, if the bb moves to the right slightly, you move the dot to right slightly aswell so the dot is were the bb's are going, and then just move the whole gun onto the target and boom the bb's will be going straight at your target, werever you point the dot. :)

@jacobNfaithy The AR-15 has to much recoil after a few shots you'll have to adjust the sights again. Someone said that it doesn't have that much recoil but I put one on my .22 and it had a shit load of trouble. It's better to just buy a real one. The sight will break after a long period of you shooting it it's to cheap.
