Hope to pick up a 2009. Riding a Bandit 1200 right now, with similar HP, a bit more torque, but also 110 more lbs. The Modified Bandit tops at 151 in 5th by gps (speedo reads 164 haha).

I love the power, but dislike the weight and size.

Getting bike envy over the 675. Did the Ducati thing, but desmo maintenance is no fun and dealer support is snobby.

Loved the narrow, lightweight 900ss, but it ran out of steam at about 110-120mph. Seat sucked also. 675 Triple might be the ticket!

thats not bad at all, i have one of these and my top speed so far is 278 kph recorded on the top speed, did that on a rough country road in australia in a t shirt lol. was not maxxed out, i still had a little more in it before the rev limiter kicked in but as i said, i was in a tshirt, didn't wanna push it :) how the hell did you keep the camera on there my gps fell off at 240 kph put got pinned into my stomach once :) ride safe have fun :)

i had the hooligan up to 160 but ran out of road MPH.I think i couldve got an extra 5-7 mph out of her . also take into account that i don't have a speedo healer or a power commander. But i do have k&n air filter triumph race trumpets and exhaust , so it does backfire abit running on 94 octane , so i suppose it's running rich but i don't care sounds great , also took the exhaust valve out gave it more top end but lost alittle mid range torque , but oh well 160 is fast enough till i get litre

@hankmatt1 what exhaust did u put on ur bike? i got a K&N and a power comander just got to find an exhaust. iv had mine 160mph just bout red lined. was it hard to take out the exhaust valve? did u cut the cat off the exhaust off also? all my buddies with jap bikes cut theres off once they got an exhaust intake and power comander.

sorry i didn't get back to you sooner but been working a lot . So i had my buddy cut out the cat and the exhaust valve mid pipe and welded a mid pipe between the collector and down pipe . I have a Jardine cann and down pipe. as far as i know Jardine does not make a full system for our bikes. but you need to look into getting the triumph race trumpets they work really well.

yeah some but it feels like i gained more on top than i lost on in the mid range. Low end stayed pretty good but i lost alittle in the mid . Also keep in mind that i probably am running a bit rich with those race trumpets and no power commander tune. If i actually bought a power commander i think i could get it tuned and probably gain it right back . maybe more. 1 more thing triumph use to sell there race ecu for the 675 . so it already comes set up best for the track without dino . !

its a bit different if you are used to the 4 cylinders but its a good engine for a every day riding has more power at the bottom compare to the 4 cyl but up the top it doesnt feel that strong. its a good combination of a V twin, bottom and 4 cyl top rush ..... 2009 has a bit an over rev so it doesnt cut off that early
