I never said that the promise of paradise is necessary in order for people to show compassion. I said heaven is important because it allows us to SACRIFICE our time for others... very different. If I only have a certain ammount of time to live before I cease to exist, then chances are, I'm going to spend that time on myself - that doesn't mean through the course of said persons life, they couldn't show compassion.. I have relatives living in Holland and this video report is right on target based on what I have heard from them and observations by my brother who has visited with them several times. Christianity is largely scoffed at by Europeans while Islam is on the rise mainly because Muslims are having lots of children. Believe it or not.

I will live by faith alone. The fallacy of the argument is to assume there is anything but faith. I put faith in God and you put faith in yourself. By how could anyone put faith in themselves when most of life is seemingly variable. I was a staunch agnostic for many years--it leads nowhere. Do you know that very tiny empty part of your life that comes to the surface when you are alone--that is your soul's yearning for Jesus. Make fun--I laughed once also--now I regret all the wasted time.

The overuse and misuse of the word faith is obvious to any man of reason. I do not put faith in myself and of greed or lust. I use reason to deal with either another man or say a slave or even a parasite in means of knowledge. You were an agnostic so you were half-rational and half-irratonal and instead of living your live by your stantdards and not to a whim of parasitic abstract you caved in to your own fear and chose irrationality.
