There are tons of bad imitators, but NO ONE can ever duplicate Phil Rizzuto. Met him outside a dept. store in '85 as he waited for Cora to shop and he did not disappoint.. He was everything a Yankee fan would ever hope he'd be. As for someone who always provided a brilliant level class and respect through the use of a voice, Bob Sheppard was in a universe of his own. Brings a lump to the throat everytime to watch these fantastic tributes...no one can ever do this like he did.

First of all, The Scooter is still missed to this day and always will be. One thing this video makes me think of is how we take all these guys for granted. I pray to God that we all get to hear Bob Sheppard at Yankee stadium again. I know he is very ill but hopefully he'll get well soon. The opening of the new stadium just wouldn't be the same without Mr. Sheppard.
