Frank Gambale is terrific! I saw him play with the Chick Corea Elektric Band at Spirit Square in Charlotte, NC in 1991. The group was great, but he stole the show in opinion. He was playing this same yellow guitar. Thanks for the post.

Considering Frank's abilities, this is painful music to listen to. Elevator / On-hold music featuring a blistering fusion solo.

Visually I don't REALLY care, sure it's dated attire, but what I think it WORSE is the DIRECTION and lack of ANY creativity for the video, other than just him standing there playing. I AM HOPING this was some instructional footage, not what he would consider a "music video." 3 different camera shots. Don't rip on Frank, KILL THE DIRECTOR!

i can see the mel gibson influence with the lethal weapon wig. this isnt my favorite gambale era. he said in an interview in guitar for the practicing beautician that he would overheat due to the wig and leather pants. he once passed out at a GIT clinic mid sweep.

What i love about him is that he is an incredible jazz fusion player and all the guitar sounds like it should be in the song. A lot of other jazz fusion guitar players sound like they took parts from 3 different songs and put it into one and it sounds wierd (holdsworth)

No its an Ibanez FGM (frank gambale model) series. Its basically the most amazing S series ever made. Sadly they are no longer in production.
