Great video. Consider using stainless steel in the future. I believe there's Teflon lining that pot. There's a saying; "If you have neighbors you don't care for, give them a Teflon pan!"
You are a brilliant Chef Miss Anjali love your video your instructions are easy to understand and your dishes taste fantastic. I really appreciate your video post your one the few Your Tube video cooks are watch because your really smart how your prepare your lessons. Thanks again this Lentil rice dish is fantastic.
@Hinduismglance: be carefully with drinking to much water! It absorbs watersoluble vitamins and minerals (like vitamin c and b and magnesium) and will leave your body through the kidneys. 2 litres of water a day is more than enough to balance the body and get rid of toxics. If you have trouble sleeping, drink some nice, warming tea (like licorice and cinnamon) with some biological milk. And be relaxed; do some yin yoga or give yourself a belly masage. :-)
@demmylowther Many medications in america today have started from herbs, but have been processed, treated, heated etc..for example the heart medication on the market actually comes from a flower..i am in med school at NSU
The preparation of the foods of indigenous peoples is a great introduction to non-western cultures and civilizations. It can be a fun lead-in to the study of histories, writings, music, and how these civilizations rose to tremendous advanced empires and what common factors led to their downfall.
This looks fantastic. I live in the USA and can't find that particular Patak Balti blend. What are the predominate spices? Any other Patak (or other brand) spice pastes that will work as well? Some that were on the shelf incl. Vindaloo, Tandoori, Biryani, Madras Curry, and others. In another brand I(Maggi), Korma Paste, and Tikka Masala.
this is not ayurvedic cooking lol

Sorry...I don't know how I missed it, but you did name a few more pastes instead of balti.
