If you're asking what game works with Cry engine 3 well that crisis2,But from what i know is using a down graded version of the Cry Engine 3 because the GPU in the Xbox360 was not strong enough to support the full capabilities of the Graphical engine.And if you're asking if CryEngine 3(the company) works with Microsoft in helping improve the Xbox to support the fully capabilities of the Graphical engine,well that i don,t know.

I For one cant see how you can compare the engine awesome of power by its speed or the amount of gpu power it needs. You can have a very badly programmed engine that cant run 800X600 at 60hz and maxing a GTX 580 at 20fps. Or you can spend moths even years to make an very well written engine that can not only run almost perfect real time graphics at 60+ fps. Plus some times it simple things that make a game look good. Some times just having better base art in the game can make it look good.

I need this engine. Mainly because I need simple 3D models that look real so I can make my live action films include Helicopter's Tank's Cinematic explosion's and more. However I would be running it on a laptop so it I don't think it will run. BTW in case I get a better computer, how much will the engine cost?

You need photo realistic textures, normal maps, specular maps etc. too, to make that look sweet.

@theclockmace lol with a youtube video you cant see the difference exactly, have you ever played crysis 2 in DX9 and then after the patch in DX11?? the unreal engine is a good dx11 engine too but cryengine 3.0 sandbox is easy to use and you can make much more as seen in this little sequenz, only frostbyte engine 2.0 beats both of them with partikel,shader and light effects,seen in BF3,Need for speed the run and now they work on Dead Space 3...

CryEngine 3 dominates any game engine, Frostbite was fully utilized in BF3 that's why you see huge landscapes and phenomenal physics. However CryEngine 3 wasn't in Crysis 2, they just used a fraction of its power so that it could work on more PCs. However if you were to fully utilise this engine, well it doesn't get any better.

Plus you would need to do some coding since rendering and game making are separate things so you need to modify the render engine to be different.

The reason they might not have taken full advantage of Frostbite 2 with Battlefield 3 is because we don't have GPU's with enough power to run Frostbite 2's maximum potential. If Frostbite 2 uses full Global Illumination algorithms, then we need 100 times the power of a GPU like the GTX 580 to run Frostbite 2 at it's maximum potential.

Don't get me wrong for real time graphics and considering Cryengine 3 doesn't require monster specs like Cryengine 2, it's pretty beast. But I still think Cryengine 2 DX10 is one of the greatest looking graphics rendering engine I have seen in awhile but it's also been around a lot longer. Only time will tell who's the champ.
