i know this comment is extra late but I was wondering how you maintain this style? Do you just sleep with a satin bonnet or roll the hairs up at night? I would love to try this style, but I'm not sure how I would maintain it..thanks for your help :o)
Hello, I just wanted to comment to say that you have done a great job on all of your tutorials that I've seen. My hair has been natural since 2006 and I'm now thinking about wearing it all out. The hair styles that I've been wearing has been (my home girl- WIG...lol) and braid extensions. So now watching your videos on how many different ways to treat and style the natural hair has boosted my confidence level and I want to say thank you!
I am thinking about trying this style this weekend, it came out very beautiful. I would like to know how you maintained it at night, and how long did the style last for you??? Thanks in advance:-)
I read your description box in your channel and you said that you are 4b/4c. You look more 4b than 4c. You're able to do things to your hair that most 4c's can barely do.
@polarBEAR819 perm rods are short and you secure them with a band and a clamp that goes on the top. the flexi rods are normally longer and you secure them by bending them at the top
i swear i been tryna find a video allll day on how 2 do dese curls...lol..im bout 2 copp dis hairstyle real quik nd im jes hopin it cums out like this...unfortunately im in dha chi nd i would be lyin if i said that i ever heard of jessie's cuurly pudding so im tryin 2 see if there is an alternative product that i can yhu 2 get dha same results
Thank for posting this video I am in the process of growing the perm out of my daughter 's hair and was looking for a braid and curl style this is sooooo perfect for her.
Absolutely beautiful! Ive started wearing my hair....always wore braids because i didnt know what to do with mine but hey....natural is freedom...so im gon work it!...lol Thanx for this i will definitely be trying it
this is such a cute style...i was never really a fan of miss jessie's since she sells a silkener which is a perm but I might have to get off my high horse and try the curly pudding if my hair turns out like yours...love the color
how long does your hair stay that way??? and how do you tie it up at night so that the curls do not go away?? I love you video...you made everything simple and extremly easy to understand.....
I just love ur videos!!!!U were the first channel I watched & subscribed too...Just a quick ? do u have any suggetions on howto maintain the style I workout daily & sweat n the head...I would b cool with a walk but love my hardcore workouts any suggetions. Also I suffer from eczema nmy scalp do u have any ideas bsides selsun ble to treat it I use tea tree oil but still get the dryness.PLZ PLZ PLZ help me out cuz I hate a dry scalp lol..keep it up & i watch ur make up videos keep em comin
ok so i'm trantionig my hair it almost all natural its jus the ends now!!! so im lookin at stlyes and ways to do my hair. i love this style that u did nd i love curls but i neva curled my hair in its natrual state, so im kinda scared nd then my hair frizzes up as soon as i walk outta tha door. lol!! Frist off wat can i ues to keep my hair soft nd keep it frm gettin damaged nd 2 wat color is that u have in ypur hair?
do u find that doing ur own hair saves u money instead of going to a salon that specializes in natural hair? or does it kinda balance out with the purchase of diff product?
Hello i am new to youtube. I love ur hair so much. i havent permed my hair in a month and i am planning on going natural. M hair is already short so i dont know how i'm gonna b lookn. i hope that i can work well with my hair as well as u do when i make my transition.
This is super cute. I have natural hair but I wear sew-ins all the time but this is a style that I'm going to do when I take my sew-in out. This is very helpful!!!
Hi I really like how your hair came out. It look so natural. I been inspired by u tube have decided to grow my hair natural. So I am excited about the styles. Ths curly pudding you used is it widely available. Are there substitutes products that can be used.
That was very good i wish that can do hair like that i am from mississippi an we have nice Hair dos but if i do that to my hair . Thank u fro show some thing new.
Did you secure the flat twist with the little rubber bands or did you just twist it to a certain point? By the way your style is so inspiring. I think I will try it once I get my curly pudding!
Beautiful turn out..!! I will definitely try this style..Just to see if it turns out well!! By the way I really needed to see the paper trick..!! Thank you..very much!!! :)
omg i love it i have been tryin to get more pretty natural hairstyles cause im going natural with my hair been doin it for about 1 or 2 months i love this style
wow this is great i love it... cant wait to do it to mine im glad you have natural hair there is not alot of ppl who do turtorials with natural hair your the best!!! but how did you take care of it at night??
Wonderful! If more sisters realized that you can do anything with hair in it's natural state, then they wouldn't view natural hair as a problem that needs to be "fixed". This is a wonderful example of how versatile our hair is!
omg you are the greatest lol.I am a newbie to natural hair I mean literally a newbie. I decided to stop getting relaxers but I hadnt had one in a few months any way. i usually get blow outs at the Dominican salon. Im mixed and my hair is SUPER thick lol but I have been watching your videos and wanted to say thank you for the help your sharing with everyone. Are you a stylist?
also how do you keep this style in tact? do you wrap it at night? I just love the flat twists. I can only cornrow my own hair though and I was just wondering how you got the parts to look slanted. they look great!
jteddy15- they are called end wraps. its small sheets of paper you put on the ends of your hair before rolling to ensure your ends stay straight and avoid frizzy ends or fish hooks
I love this style on your hair I am thinking you r a beautician if not you do have the skills of one, What is so funny to me is that I never knew the white strips were used for the purpose of your ends in the past I use the end strips to roll up the rollers with - lol Thanks so much for this hair lesson!
thanks so much! I have had the hardest time figure out which direction to and where to start with my hair on the perm rod to achieve a spiral...i am trying tonight!
how does the curls look the next morning and through out the week with this method? and what do you use on the hair through out the week to keep the curls, if they stay?
ok so i have a problem i cant seem to get the rods on tight they r always loose at the roots and i have to use tons of barbie pins any suggestions or reasoning ???
Where Can YOu Get the Curling Pudding I went to Sallys and they didnt have any idea of what i was talking about lol so can you please tell me message me comment tell me thanks
i never thought you could put spiral curls in natural hair, when my natural hair gets a little longer, i'm definately gonna try this style. where do you get the miss jessie's pudding? Your hair came about absolutely beautiful!!!
your hair looks as if its the same texture as mine... when rolling my hair i use regular setting lotion it comes out beautiful everyone thought i put a relaxer in my hair
Yes what other product would you suggest besides Mrs Jessy, bc here in Mobile, Al we dont have that. And how did u protect your hair at night? Meaning how did you cover or what did you use to protect your curls?
OMG...I so didn't know that I could do this with natural hair! I am glad you showed us natural sisters we can have some diversity with our hair too! Thanks so much.
Your hair is so beautiful! Question. Can you tell me if you think the Kinky Curly custard Pudding would work with a rollerset as the Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding. And if there's any help you can give me far as things to use to help in maintaining moisture in my hair. I've been natural for 2 1/2 years, but still trying to get grip on how to experiment with different styles.
gossipme13- no i never texturize. don't believe in them. to me if you texturize then you aren't really natural as far as your curl pattern is concerned
This style is pretty but I have used miss jessie's curly pudding before and was very disappointed. The overpowering smell and ultra-slippery texture did nothing for my 4B hair; I like the Cantu shea butter leave-in cream much better--and it's cheaper.
something with similar or at least some creamyness to it, would be either the Hair Milk or Healthy Hair Butter by Carol's Daughter. I prefer the hair butter because shea butter is in a larger quantity in it and has that texture to it, where the hair milk is more liquidy. It depends on what works for your hair.
You rocked that, I didn't like the results of me using the curly pudding on just a twist out, however, I will try this style. I have 3c hair and your's looks as if you have 3c as well. Great Vid, very informative

Wow, I never knew you could achieve a look like that with natural hair! I'm going to transition right away! Forget relaxers!

This is one of my favorite hairstyles that you have done...it shows that you don't need a perm to get the same hair style as someone with a perm!

Thanks for you Help,

luvin ur hair n the way u style it lol.
jus one question. . . do u hav a texterizer?? cuz if would do some of ur styles on ma hair it would not turn out the same. . .

gossipme13- no i never texturize. don't believe in them. to me if you texturize then you aren't really natural as far as your curl pattern is concerned

This style is pretty but I have used miss jessie's curly pudding before and was very disappointed. The overpowering smell and ultra-slippery texture did nothing for my 4B hair; I like the Cantu shea butter leave-in cream much better--and it's cheaper.

is there another product other than miss jessies i can use to set my hair

something with similar or at least some creamyness to it, would be either the Hair Milk or Healthy Hair Butter by Carol's Daughter.

Thanks
