@DogDamour I had been living in a pond within the Museum's outdoor courtyard with my other buds at the Museum (see a pic of my, but when everyone else moved out of the building, I must have been incognito and they were unable to find me. So...I decided to take a long nap...a REALLY long five-month nap, hibernating under the mud.
@sormz1 hey man im not sure if u saw the size of the turtle but thy ca stretch there neck totheir hind legs and bbite u and remve a finger so unless ur a pro at handling these creatures at that size i suggest u shutup
LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing grown men rescuing that snapping turtle, and not letting egos take over and feel the need to kill it. See, some man are not barbaric! High Five Men! " Lets go get him some food" <3
I am really happy to see this poor turtle rescued by people who won't chop his head off and eat him. "Bob" is a common snapping turtle...I had 3 little hatchlings show up at my koi pond a couple of springs ago. They were the size of quarters, and already trying to hiss and bite, but they were beautiful in a prehistoric way. I was going to let the little ones stay until they attained a more "predatotor proof" size, but they disappeared one by one. Never did know what happened to them.
what was the turtle doing there?
