Trying to land a huge tarpon

Got my biggest Tarpon this month in off the coast of Naples... Good job... Mine was about 175 lbs. and I was killed when I finally got that monster to the boat...

they can take about half your spool out in seconds..they can swim 35 mph..its like trying to reel in a small boat..i fish for them right on the shore off the beaches in this same area..its harder to fight them without a boat, and alot more fun

This was at Boca Grande on the west coast of Florida. It was estimated that it was aorund a 140 lb. tarpon that I finally got to the boat. It took about 45 mins. to get it to the boat and it was a lot of work.
