@awefi You're posts crack me up. Yeah, I feel you Dynasty's drums will fall apart. Happened to me. First the bolts on the bottom of the frame securing the drums to the frame fall out, then the frame warps and eventually shears. Pearls are the best but the shells seem to warp more over time than other brands. But I still think they are the best "outta-the-box sound" Good amount of overtone.

BTW - this RCC line is great! Really clean beats in these videos

Yes, i'm serious. I marched with a dynasty drum and bugle corps for 3 years. Yes, i have an idea of what i'm talking about. Their drums specifically their models from 2006 and 2007, are not durable. They cannot handle a summer on the road as well as other drums.

A summer on the road is different than band class. (Most cases do prevent damage to drums by the way)

Pearl makes some of the best drums. Period. If you say you like dynasty drums, you have never marched with a non bluedevil drum corps and had those fuckers fall apart. They're stupid to maintain, dont sound good, and are not durable.

Oh, well i guess they're quads are level. Big deal. Real men can play on uneven quads with fuckin trees.

Is it as bad as Premier drums? I had to use them at surf in 05/06... not fun at all. 08 We got Mapex which were very nice but twice as heavy.

I have a set of Dynasty's and I love them. Granted I only have them on a stand in my room but they're still great for me.

Ill tell you all whats going on pearl is redesigning their quads for blue devils and rcc. They haven't changed their design in years and finally realized that they suck so they are reforming it to the way blue devils want it. and their not done yet hence why they are marching dynasty quads.

haha yeah seriously pearl quads do suck majorly. It is weird that they're using dynastys while snares used pearl. They didn't preform like that did they? They had pearls tonight(SCPA finals) and they looked great, not like usual saggy pearl quads.

good spot. they are actually dynasty tenors with the drum cover over them. i would assume the didnt have enough time to pull the switch off for this show. expect to see them with pearl tenors at the next show.
