@flamboyantmoothe Thanks man, just a really experimental thing for me, I wanted a super raw cops/real world type of look just to give it a more different feel.
VERY interesting and creative documentary-The characters were believable and I admire the guts it took to speak out against what happened in the Gulf-and makes me so thankful I live up North-even though the winters are about five-six months long it seems...AWESOME work, saved 2 FAVES:)
I like that idea re the camera people are in the same boat, but just think if you quickly showed us that we'd know...always think action..(not talking action/adventure), just action...theatre is the writer's medium...so words move the story, but in film the visual action moves it better..the visuals are the poetry. I'm learning this myself, just thought I'd share it.
I'm confused. Is this a documentary....a docudrama or a piece of fiction? It seems like a documentary. If it's a film...it's too talky, but I like the concept and see great potential....if it's a film...think motion pictures with the emphasis on the word motion or action....if it's a film, I'd reedit it into shorter pieces, maybe jumpcuts, maybe add some music...ditto for a docu-drama,.but if it's a documentary I'd just shorten the scenes and tighten it up and say good work.
@InfoatPinkSliptvsm It is a docu drama, just a very raw one. The reason the scenes are so long is because I was trying to create an aesthetic to show that the camera people are in the same boat as the people trying to live.
Is this a kind of 'documentary' or else about these people's life? Anyway, the video is not bad, but you should reduce many scenes' duration or just quit some of them. But maybe, the most important thing is about adding music, because it shouldn't be as a bad idea. Something (in general) that express... 'calm', you know.
Well, I tried to explain my opinion as I could, because english is not my official language (from Spain I am, x'D), but I hope I have helped a little about this...
Nice vid! The stage looks like a ruined amphitheater... a great place to play out the story and proof that history is riddled with fallen/ once great civilizations...and a reminder that we should never lose site of this fact.
@ArizonaBob Exactly that is a great way to look at, the location was absolutely perfect for this short film and every detail down to the graffiti shows how society and what we have done is meaningless when it all falls away.
@7lizet Exactly he is a character obsessed with materialism, he is the embodiment of what makes our society at times so vein, that is why he keeps it. It makes more sense as the film moves on.
@thatasianguy99 I am glad that the acting is convincing to ya. I tried to make it feel as real as possible and if I achieved that here that is amazing.
Wow... This makes me scared of the future. I thought these guys were actually telling an actual story and experiencing all this. (are they? No really lol) Good job you have to get more views, much much more views!
