I must say, the band sounded terrible that day. It was snowing heavily. My car broke down. Ate like four tacos right before it. Listen, I'm not trying to make excuses or to put the blame on anyone in particular, but the FRENCH HORN PLAYERS were out of tune. Yeah, you heard me. You were flat!! I didn't say it then but oh, I thought it. I was steaming in my boot straps. And people tried to blame it on me!! It's always the conductor's fault, now isn't it?!
