The point: This film might reinforce intra-racial stereotypes. Period.
As I noted earlier, it's just a clip, so who knows what the whole film communicates? Further, it is racist only if there was an intention to support sterotypes. I have no insight whatsoever about the filmaker's motivations. So, nope, I'm not accusing anyone of racism, but merely paying attention to the images.
It may not be fair to comment on a mere clip from a film, but...from what I have seen I cringe at the intra-racial images. The dark-skinned woman seems to be flaunting her sexuality and makes a facile, almost flippant response to the dilemma. The lighter-skinned girl (at least at this point)appears to be heroine who will choose "wisely." It is disturbing to me.

So mcl1205 - What's your point? The darker skinned person always has to be the hero, otherwise, the author is a racist?
