The goats appeared skinny to me, but then I'm only used to a few breeds of goat which probably were bred for their hefty size growing in lush pasture. I'm not familiar at all with the 15 breeds of goat mentioned in this video. I'm sure they were selected for their ability to live in hot, dry conditions.
I'd be interested to learn more about what makes each breed of goat particularly special.
I'm really here to learn about goats, but I am just blown away with how lovely that announcer is. Something about her seems "deeply" beautiful instead of just superficially so.
I love how people say that other have mental issues because they like watching animals mating, yet here they are, in the same video as the ones they call "insane".
I raise goats and those goats are so gross, and no brush for them to eat?!? They looked way to skinny and I raise them as I said, I know what a goat should look like.
i totaly agree with you on how these goats are looked after... goats should have grass to graze on and not be contained by brick walls!! they are soo skinny!
@ilovhorse Well goats don't graze they eat things up high like pine, brush, stuff like that but they like tall grass not the type of ground those goats were on. And no bedding?!? They are very skinny goats are fat animals(not too fat but you know, fat) What jerks who have these goats
interesting video, particularly for me. Probably I will start this business next year. How about disease problems......how serious are they ? We do import this kind of goat and said to be hardy and easy to look after. Thanks
Keeping goats on concrete is cruel. Breeding at 5 months old is cruel. Their bodies are not fully developed. There are no rocks or 'gyms' to play on, which is an important part of the goat temperment and personality. This man needs some lessons in goat husbandry. Shameful.
@lavendergal48 Temperment and personality? Uh, maybe you need some lessons in economics. These goats are obviously selectively bred for money. Your naiveness is whats shamefull.
@lavendergal48@lavendergal48 I was responding to your coment because you seemed to be missing the point of this video. I never claimed that this wasn't cruel or that I was ok with it. Just pointing out that things like temperment and personality are completely irrelevant to what this goat farm is doing. This guy doesnt give a shit, he just wants cash fast. I am not callous, I just face the facts as they really are. Think about it next time you buy any animal product in a supermarket.
@Whisper0ak I didn't miss the point of the video...you did. There was NO reason for you to take issue with my post, other than to be a callous smart alec. And don't ASSume that other people DON'T think about animal products in the supermarket. Keep your stupid knee-jerk responses to yourself.
@lavendergal48 I'll take an issue with whoever's comment I wish; Can you explain yourself or just say things with no meaning? How have i missed the point of this video? are you incapable of understanding english? i haven't assumed anything. Stupid self-righteous bitch.
@Whisper0ak Seriously...is there something wrong with you? You completely ignored 3/4 of my original post and went on the attack. "Uh, maybe you need some lessons in economics" and "Your naiveness is whats shamefull." You're the one who obviously can't understand English. The "point" of the person taking the video was to glorify that moron's method of earning a living. The POINTS that I made are relevant because when economics and animal cruelty come into conflict, it's a no-brainer.
@Whisper0ak Are you such a stupid self-righteous idiot that you have to take issue with someone's post on YouTube? Don't you have any self-control that whispers in your ear "let it pass"? You people who troll these sites looking for someone to try and humiliate are worthless. Go ahead and take issue with "whoever's comment". Just quit whining when you get blowback.
@lavendergal48 LOL. Yeah, thats what I thought, you CAN'T explain yourself. You clearly have nothing constructive to add to this conversation/debate, as you just left two long comments that have said, nothing; just more angry babbling. You have wasted my time for the last time. Enjoy your last word.
I don't know why everyone is freaking out about the "skinny" goats. Some of these breeds are dairy, which makes their frame tall and the topline very skinny. There are no ribs poking through at all, and the most I saw were some hipbones, which often I see jutting out on goats in other countries. I think this operation is doing very well, and it's in India so sometimes they don't have access to all the vet care we do, so they're making do pretty well from what I see in the video.
@bigbus48 fking indianss probly cant afford dewormer or are too primitive to have access to it... it would be better if atleast they had a little pasture....
Wow!! that was a fantastic clip.. I have been seriously considering setting something up like this in B'desh. There everyone eats goat meat but they dont INVEST in any breeding programmes. All they have is the "Bengal Black" which is a dwarf breed and only produces 15kg meat.. its ok if you have many in number but it needs to be commercialised. I think the "Jamnapuri" or "Boer" goat would do well over there as demand for meat increases. (It would have to learn how to swim first LOL.)
well have you ever seen a fat kid?(baby goat) no i don't think so. goats are pre-ruminants. their rumen isn't developed. which is why they aren't so fat
its called Jamnapari in rest of india which is almost similar to Beetal of Punjab, tall ,legy, roman nose, small horns, long ears almost fat less and best meat in whole wide world .
I agree, he looks like a goat hoarder. They need more food, and he needs A LOT less goats! Way too skinny, they look like sick. Especially the ones with urine on their tail. They know if they don't eat they will die. I definitely think he needs half the amount he has. Needs to thin his herd out immensely. His whole herd is thin.
we breed goat and sheep BUT not purebreds theyr'e just for milk and pets and sometimes meat BUT NOT FOR US FOR BUYERS.we have around 362 heads and some are on the way.
i like your sire hes of Jamnapari breed which is parent breed of Boar goats of south africa but standard of female is not upto mark most of them are hybrids
I wanted to see how the animals breed, mate and the mating behaviour of animals but there was nothing to see. Please, direct me where to find these tipe of mating videos. Thank you.
