You know what you should try GT? When I played this game I trolled with one of the guard spells... or maybe it was one of those spells that increased a certain stat ..but I would install crystals that would boost stats, resistance and heal into the spell and I would use that throughout the whole entrie battle so during the whole battle you would heal, get resistance up and boost your stats every turn. And since you wouldn't stop the song or change the effect would just boost more and more.
This is my second favourite game of all time!

You have the second strongest weapon equipped to Lyner so that is the reason why he is a lot stronger.
